Our first time in Italy, we were lucky enough to have found Il Vecchio Milipano for our home/base in Tuscany for our 6 night stay. This place has everything, from the most lovely and warm hosts (Monica and family), to the most charming cottage with exquisite decor, fantastic modern appliances, and every little detail covered to guarantee a relaxing, comfortable and romantic stay, just minutes from the centre of the beautiful Montepulciano. A great location, privacy and proximity, a beautiful pool and surrounds and to top it off a truly delicious breakfast provided daily. We simply couldn't fault the entire experience and can't recommend it highly enough.

We stayed at this Agriturismo for four nights and had a wonderful and relaxing time. Monica is a fantastic host and does everything to ensure you are happy and enjoying your holiday. We split our time between a morning drive around the countryside and the nearby hilltop towns and then returned for lunch (using our ample breakfast supplies!) and then lazed around the pool just enjoying the location. We just couldn't fault anything and would have loved to have stayed for longer. We ate in Montepulciano each evening, with a good choice of restaurants. What a great destination!

We have just spent 6 nights here and it is the most idyllic place we have ever stayed. Entering the accommodation is like stepping into a beautiful homes magazine. The decor is luxurious and quirky everything that you would love to have in your own home and an outdoor terrace perfect for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening.
The garden, swimming pool and its surroundings are serene comfortable and beautifully maintained.
Monica is lovely ,she made us so welcome and she is an amazing cook! We were treated to a daily surprise of homemade bread, cakes, jams delicious cheese and meats. The fridge is stocked with refreshments, fresh fruit , yoghurts and treats!
The location is perfect for exploring the region and II Vecchio Milipano is the perfect retreat after a day trip.
We loved it here and really hope to return one day!

We stayed at this beautiful accommodation in early June on our trip to Tuscany. Wonderful memories. Monica is a wonderful, kind host, who goes out of her way to help her guests. She proactively helps with making restaurant reservations, giving interesting ideas of what to do/places to visit, even offering to help us out with laundry.

The room is fantastic, with truly lovely decor. Many quaint little touches and we spent a good half hour just taking it all in. Monica also serves fresh homemade breads, jams, with ham, cheese and pastries for breakfast (delivered to your room the evening before). The fridge is always stocked with delicious snacks and drinks - all complimentary and topped up daily. There's a lovely fruit basket thoughtfully stocked in the room as well.

The location of the place is wonderful; just 5 minutes away from the Montepulciano city centre by car and about 10 mins by a dirt path. It is also a good base to explore the South of Siena region, with Pienza, Montalcino, Montichiello all within a short half hour drive.

All the positive reviews are true! Do yourself a favour and book a 2 or 3 nights stay at least. This is one of my favorite places in the world. I really really want to return one day soon.
