My husband and I stayed 3 nights at end of June. We had a great time ! We are happy that we made a good choice stayed here.
Positive -
location : very convenient - few minutes drive to Montepulciano where have many nice restaurants, around 15 mins drive to different vineyards for wine tasting. The B&B is siturated in the vineyard and the views are stunning !
owner - Teresa is very kind. She gave us a map and showed us the nice restuarants ( even made the reservations for us ) and the nice places as well. Besides, she gave us some information on the wines and booked us the wine tasting. We were happy to have the chance to try the nice wines from Montepulciano. End up we bought few boxes ! I almost forget to say that we got a bottle of red wine from Teresa's own production. It was very good.
room " Camelia "- on the top floor with its own entrance, not big but good enough for us. It has a big window with nice view and you can watch the sunrise. We love it ! It has a air conditioner, mini fridge, coffee machine .....
Negative -
Home-made wine is not for sale ( due to limited quantity )!
a sign of B&B is needed to post at the main road
Thank you very much Teresa ! We'll be back.

We stayed here for two nights in June in the La Camelia suite. The suite was about the size of a hotel bedroom but had an independent entrance with a flight of stairs leading up to it, thus giving the feeling of privacy and homeliness. The room was equipped with a coffee maker, a small electric stove and some basic cutlery. We were provided with fruits, wine, milk, juice, coffee, tea, bread and packaged pastries. We were also able to use a washing machine and borrow bicycles for free. Wifi was available but a bit patchy and we couldn't get a strong signal at times.

The property is situated in the beautiful Tuscan countryside and is just outside Montepulciano. It takes about 30 minutes to walk uphill to Montepulciano (where there are many excellent restaurants). We were very lucky to see a lot of fireflies on the way back to the property after dark! It is also possible to cycle to the nearby towns of Monticchiello and Pienza via small roads with little traffic - although the hilly, gravelly roads makes this quite tiring, it is totally worth it for the breathtaking views of the countryside that you will get to enjoy.

Special thanks goes to Teresa, the owner of the property, who was very helpful throughout our short stay. She helped drive us to the bus stop in Montepulciano on the day of our checkout and even helped tend to my wounds when I injured myself in a bicycle accident. We definitely wished we had booked more nights here!

We are a group of three stayed there for three nights in May. The location was very close to the town Montepulciano. The farm house has a very nice view and Teresa was very helpful in giving us directions and information in the area.
She was kind enough to give us a bottle of home-made red wine.
We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

This was a great place to stay in central tuscany. Teresa is very kind and helpful. When we arrived she showed us around the property and provided us with a map and suggestions on restaurants, and things to see and do. There was also complimentary bottle of wine from her estate, milk, fruit juice, bread, biscuits, coffee and homemade jam. The apartment is spacious and clean.
The property is 2km from centre of Montepulciano. The walk is uphill but nice and we enjoyed it. There are no street lights keep a torch when walking back in the dark (we walked back a couple of times and it was fine). We also walked to Montichiello - beautiful walk and would highly recommend it (it is about 5 miles each way and very hilly) with refuelling stops for wine at La Guardiola and Terre di Nano.

We stayed in Il Gelso. Teresa is a wonderful hostess. She gave us farm fresh eggs, milk, bread , yogurt and homemade jams for breakfast in the little apartment. It was also stocked with Illy coffee to make mocha on the stove. The room is very spacious. The property is beautiful. There is a ramp up to Il Gelso and the shower will accommodate a wheelchair, so it's a good option for someone disabled. At 70 euro, the room was a bargain. There are farm cats roaming around. One really took to us and befriended my husband. It was a nice treat while we were away from our own kitty at home. The agritourismo is a short, easy drive to Montepulciano. Teresa will give you maps and advice on parking. There is a washer and dryer for guests to use, free of charge. The washer won't accommodate large loads, like in the US, but we were able to do a medium sized load of laundry without issue. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at il Palazzo dei Diavoli from 10-14 October.
Prior to arriving I had been corresponding with the owner Teresa, who was ever so patient with my changes in dates, and was always quick to answer all my queries.
We arrived in the evening after sunset by car, and had no difficulty finding it with the aid of a GPS, (I would not recommend trying to get there in the dark without using one). We were met by our warm and amiable host, Teresa, who spent at least an hour chatting with us (at the end of what must have been an exhausting harvest day for her), filling us in on essential information like which places to visit in Montepulciano and the Val d'Orcia, as well as good restaurants, groceries etc, while we sat sipping the homemade wine she had thoughtfully put out for us.
The property is located about 2.5km downhill from the main entrance and tourist information centre of Montepulciano.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom Il Sorbo apartment which had two beds 2 baths and a common kitchen, as well as a verandah running all around the front and side of the unit with breathtaking views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside, as well as a view of Montepulciano and San Baggio church. It is set in a lovely garden surrounded by flowering plants, olive, fig and cypress trees. There is also barbecue pit available and a shaded outdoor dining table provided for each unit in the garden.
Rooms were comfortable and clean, bathrooms were spotless and the wifi worked fine. Kitchen was well equipped and and more than adequate for preparing a simple meal.
We visited the surrounding towns like Pienza, Siena, San Quirico, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni, Montichiello and found our location very central and convenient as a base for exploring these places.
The best part was that after a day of visiting towns with hordes of other tourists, we could come back to a peaceful, tranquil retreat. The town of Montepulciano is very charming too, it is big enough so that you have a decent choice of restaurants, wine bars, groceries and shops. It too is crowded with visitors by day, yet by night it becomes a lot quieter and it is very pleasant to stroll around in before or after dinner.
Thank you, Teresa, for making our stay special!
Next time we plan on staying longer!

We stayed at il Palazzo dei Diavoli as a base for exploring hill towns of Tuscany and Umbria. It is conveniently located one to two miles from Montepulciano and is in the country. Upon arriving, we were were warmly welcomed by Teresa who owns this 250 year old farm house with her husband. They mainly grow grapes for wine, olives, and figs.

There are two apartments and one suite on this combination farm and guest house. We stayed in Il Gelso with a kitchen-living room fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans; a bedroom; and an ensuite bathroom. Also included were satellite TV, wireless internet, and access to the laundry room. Stunning views of the countryside, Montepulciano, and Montefollonico are seen from the terrace. The country location was very quiet with beautiful sunsets.

Teresa had a fresh bowl of figs, fig jam, and a large carafe of her homemade wine waiting for us. She was extremely helpful with information about the local sites, maps, and navigation from place to place. She identified many sites and attractions in the local area--more than we could possibly visit in our limited time (4 nights). We used this farm house as a base for day trips to Contona, Civita, Assisi, Orvieto, Montepulciano, and Montefollonico.

Upon our departure, Teresa invited us into her home and was very gracious and friendly. We highly recommend Il Palazzo dei Diavoli for independent visitors with a car looking for a base for travel to hill towns in Tuscany and Umbria.
