A little winery in Montepulciano, the wines put out of this winery are just fantastic. Just a small property, there was a certain welcome feeling from the property, nothing overdone, simple house and out buildings, nothing fancy. The blends are fantastic and the owner takes the time to provide an excellent and detailed tour of his lands. He took us around and explained the makeup of his vineyard, showing us the grapes on the vine and then bringing us into the vat room where he showed us the rest of the operation. The tastings were simple and intimate and included the entire selection at the time.
We couldn't resist his wines and we still have a bottle of the 2001 Nobile on our rack. We need to get back to winery soon! You would be remiss to visit this winery and buy a bottle when visiting Tuscany.
I last visited in Sept 2006, so ignore the when did you visit marker.
