Ours second time in Montepulciano took us to La Botegga del Nobile. After entering their wine shop, we were led down to one of their many seating areas far below ground - very cool! Service was friendly and attentive, wit a great wine recommendation. My wife started with the eggplant pie (best dish of the night!), and I the wild boar ragu; both very tasty. We then both got the sliced steak. She the basic beef with vin Nobile sauce, and I their special steak (Chiana?) with Rosemary and olive oil. Both were rare (although the basic steak was supposed to be cooked a little more, it was not - but ok regardless) and both delicious! We were not sure we noticed a difference between the two versions of the steak - regular vs. Chiana. After a full meal, could not handle dessert, but they surprised us an brought us both a sample of their dessert wine from Montepulciano on the house. Nice touch to end our evening!
