Every time we go to Norcia, always have lunch at the Tavern of Woodman ........... The kitchen and great, the hospitality and warm welcome and the staff were always on hand to give you the best ......
A family-run restaurant with the father making the pizza (if i'm not mistaken!) , the mother in the kitchen, the daughter to serve the tables ....!! the restaurant/pizzeria is situated in an old cave, which ofcourse has been recently restored, it is a small & warm restaurant which provides a nice get away from the horrid winter weather.
All the staff is very kind and affectionate. From the outside it did not seem like such a great place but once we were inside it felt like home with the kindness of the owners.
I never tasted the pizza though i saw most of the locals ordered them and they did have a nice aspect.
I came here twice and both times was satisfied with their pasta which was delicious. Their meat was good too, but their dessert stole my heart. The mother makes the cakes herself and trust me the chocolate cake i ate was beyond words and deliciousness!! ( my mouth is still watering!! )
If I visit Norcia again i will surely dine here!
the prices are good!
