We were staying at the Palzzo Seneca and just expected a normal hotel restaurant experience but not bit of it. We knew we were in for a good meal when we were seated an an enormous linen clad table in comfy leather armchairs and offered Prosecco and a great selection of home-made breads to start. The dining room was quiet and elegant. We opted for the tasting menu - not cheap at 60E but it looked interesting and it certainly was. The chef obviously has flare. The staff knew everything about the menu and the wine and were attentive but not intrusive. We had course after course - all beautifully presented and just the right quantity with the finest ingredients - everything was a taste experience and melted in the mouth - the rolled rabbit was delightful. We have eaten at several Michelin starred restaurants and this was equally as good. It was worth every penny. It was the sort of meal you wish would never end and we will certainly go back to stay there again just so we can experience another meal there.
