We stayed at Villa Acquafredda at September 2013 for one night. We loved the place and recommend it for those who are looking for a local style experience with all the needed comfort. Considering the very reasonable prices this place is a great value-for-money.
The villa is located just outside the new part of Orvieto, in a lovely rural area. It is easily accessible by car but still very close (10 minutes' walk) to the funicular and the train station. From our window we had a great view to the old town.
Facilities and Maintenance
The villa looks and feels authentic and local but still is very comfortable and modern, including a small elevator. There is an open swimming pool with a fantastic view to the new part of town.
Our room was furnished in a country style with dark wood with a modernly equipped bathroom. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
Reception and Staff
The manager / owner of the place was available at any time we needed him, he spoke some English and made every effort to help us when we needed his directions.
Food and Beverage
Breakfast was typical for an Italian hotel: 2 types of cakes and other sweets, freshly made coffee, bread, butter, cheese, ham, and some fruits and yogurt.More
