“A lunch to remember”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Set in a quaint street in Orvieto, we sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed a wonderful long lunch with friends. Although it was a very hot day and we were intending to eat a fairly modest lunch, we could not resist trying many of the dishes on the menu and ended up tasting each other's choices. My particular favourites were the ricotta flan which was light and delicious, as was the mezzaluna pasta, these both a perfect prelude to the more robust flavours of the cinghiale and agnello. The dessert of light flakey, pastry, creamy custard and raspberries was a fitting end to this memorable meal. A wonderful experience, great food and welcoming, friendly atmosphere.

“Número Uno”

We have just returned home after the best lunch we have had this year.
From the antipasto a delicious ricotta flan, onto the home made pasta, mezze lune with pea purée or the tagliatelle with chocolate and a sauce invented by Giovanni, onto the the main course cinghiale or agnello so mouthwatering. We had to complete the meal with exquisite dolci all home made. For the wine Giovanni's recommendations were great.
If you are in Orvieto you must go to eat here. We will certainly be going back.

“Nice variety and great service”
Reviewed 24 May 2014 via mobile

We ate dinner here a few nights ago. Both my spouse and I had beef filets which were mouth-watering and fork tender. I ordered a layered dessert dish of puff pastry over cream and cherries. Delicious.
We returned the next night with 4 friends. One has a food allergy and the waiter and chef worked with her to modify a dish so that she could eat worry free. This time I had an antipasti of ricotta flan and squash blossoms that was excellent. All 6 of us had cleaned our plates during the main course. The wait staff speaks good English. Don't pass on this culinary gem.

“Interesting menu, excellent service!”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

We are living in Orvieto for 2.5 months. We eat out two or three times a week, but have found that menus are somewhat repetitive. Al Pozzo Etrusco was a notable exception. The menu was true to Umbrian tradition, but it was filled with interesting twists. We were warmly welcomed and service was excellent. The meal was perfectly tied as we wanted a long leisurely meal. We will definitely return.
