“Nice hotel, good location, PAY FOR PARKING”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

Clean, comfortable and in a good location. Stayed here 3 years ago and there was FREE parking at a municipal lot. Now the town has built a massive underground garage that sits nearly empty. Why? 12+ Euros to park overnight! Tourists are the only people forced to use the lot.

Everyone made our stay lovely, and the location is perfect for walking. They gave great recommendations, especially La Taverna dell'Etrusco! Delightful room, nice setting, very romantic - petals on the bed

Our rooms were charming and very clean. The bathrooms were very small, especially the showers, even by European standards. The staff was very friendly and recommended two restaurants, both of which were excellent. Breakfast was in a very charming and cozy room. The food was good. It was quite a hike from the funicular up the hill on the cobblestone streets with our suitcases, but doable. Of course, Orvieto is a wonderful town and the sister city of our hometown of Aiken, SC USA.

For its small town setting, this was a fine hotel. The staff spoke fairly good English and were very helpful. The free breakfast was wonderful. The room was about a standard size for Italy. We arrived by train, took the funicular and walked with our luggage to Hotel Corso within 5 minutes or so. Everything in town was within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed one night on our way from Florence to Rome. Was quiet and in a fairly good location. The room was small but many European hotels are small. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The breakfast had many choices and the staff was helpful especially Alexandria. He very helpful in addressing our travel plans. The only problem we had was in checking in. The lady at the counter could not speak any english, but did try.We would stay there again if in the area.

We selected Hotel Corso, as it was located half way between funicular from train station and the main square. It is uphill, but most places are in a hilltop town. In the evening, the area was very quiet. The hotel was quite nice. Our room was on the second floor with views of the yards next door (as requested by us) from the small balcony. We like a window in the bathroom also. The room was spacious and nicely decorated; however, the bed was very hard. The adult staff spoke English and was very gracious. The breakfast room was large with good food and great café latte. We especially enjoyed the Macedonia (fruit salad) and the cakes. We would definitely stay there again. It was quite a relaxing place away from the crowds in the main cities with good restaurants within walking distance. We did not have any of the bad experiences mentioned in other reviews.

I stayed here in early January, 2013, winter and off season for this little hill top town. The staff were very helpful, and the rooms were spotless, and I did not notice any noise, other then church bells out my window. Decor, is a bit out of date for sure, but everything very clean. Breakfast had many choices. This small hotel very easy to get to, you can walk the distance, rolling your suitcase up the hill from the tram, easy enough. No need to take a taxi. Staff is at the desk, 24 hr a day, so if you ever need anything, there is someone always there. I have been traveling for a month all through out Italy on this trip, and think that for the off season price I paid for the room, I recall 55 Euros, if you can look past the outdated decor, it is a good bargain for the price. I spent more time in the town then in my room. Would stay here again.
