This is a very small museum that you will only need about 1 1/2 hours to see. Most of it's contents (maybe all) are from the ancient city of Paestum. It's well laid out and mostly well labeled. Don't miss the jars with the 2000 year old honey and definitely don't miss the "Diver" -- the symbol of Paestum.

Don't always visit museums but this one was well worth it
We visited at night so the walk from our accommodation at Hotel Rita was lovely - to see the ruins all lit up

To see ancient Greek tomb art is such a rare and special experience. It really gives you a preview into the ancient culture of the area. Highly recommended, as you can see glimpses of a past that is not fully understood.

Some really good artefacts, prehistoric, through Greek to Roman. Great displays, not crowded. Do the museum before the temples and get a grounding n he history.

We had this archealogical gem almost to ourselves. We wandered around viewing mosaic floors, almost intact Greek temp,es 2500 years old. There was a feeling of a time continuum and a link to humanity through the eons.
