The head office of Varna Chamber of Tourism and its firm – Varna Tourism Company is located in Varna, on the Blacksea coast.

Varna is an old city, established in VI century BC. The first gold treasure is found here and it originated 6500 years ago and it is believed to be older than these in Mesopotamia and Egypt. Varna is also the place where the Roman rulers built the third largest Roman baths in Europe.

The main arguments for us to look for our participation in the XVI BORSA MEDITERRANEA DEL TURIZMO ARHEOLOGICO in Paestum, Italy were these historical facts together with the significant number of ancient monuments in Bulgaria’s North-East region.

Varna Tourism Company met in your face a good and reliable partner. Our group of four persons delighted with excellent organization and sympathy during the travel and our stay.

Despite of the very inconvenient hour of our arrival, the smiling Armando gave us a warm and hearty welcome at 3 a.m. Our impressions were of neatness, cleanness and very good conditions.

The breakfast was delicious and highly varied and this compensated our limited time for sleeping. The morning greeted us with the luxuriant vegetation which surrounded the hotel complex.

The tourism exhibition entirely engaged our time but we wished to relax more in rooms 407 and 408 and the spacious veranda too. This should happen next time we visit Paestum.

My pajamas stayed under the blankets and I think this is the most certain sign of the fate that we will go back to you!

Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality!

Just came back from three weeks in Italy with our 9 year old and three year old girls. I was so impressed with the reviews on tripadvisor and that is why I expected so much,,, The grounds and the pool are lovely but the rooms althoght they are big - are not that great. We got the garden room - which was nice - the rooms were quite big - but the living room was not that comfy and when the girls went to bed - the t.v. was small and the sofa not that comfortable. All the furniture aren't too new, and the bath tub isn't that inviiting. The kids club stopped working on the 15th of Sep, so I couldn't check it.
The main problem for us was that Oleandri is not close to any store or restaurant, In order to get anywhere one needs a car and since our little one suffers from travel sickness we had to go by foot at least a twenty minutes walk to anywhere. the taxi ride to any small center costs 10-15 euro btw.

The desk proved to be very nice and helpful when we needed some help.

Stayed for 6 nights in June with my husband, baby daughter and mother in two rooms with garden views and a terrace. The rooms are well sized with a really good lovely terrace where you can eat and just relax. Everywhere in the resort is spotless and they have really gone to town on the gardens which are beautifully kept and really help to make it into a mini paradise. The pool is fantastic, clean, large and excellent for children and especially babies as there is a very gradual slope into the water at one side so you can happily sit and play. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas so no worries about being able to get out of the gorgeous sun when you need to.

The children's club is very loud so if you do not want to hear the music in the evenings then ask for a garden room as opposed to a pool one. Many of the staff do not speak great English but then it is Italy and not the UK so I cannot really understand why people complain about that! Irrelevant of the level of English spoken the staff were fantastic, very helpful and welcoming and they tried to have a chat and if they were not able to communicate fully they went off to find someone who could.

There is not a huge amount of info available, one example being that we were not made aware of the buffet option for dinner or the fact that they offer a cooked breakfast until out penultimate day. However the food is delicious and the breakfast offered is varied and very generous.

One quite significant issue for us was the resort lighting at night. Some of the path globes were not working and so walking back to the room from the car park was quite dangerous as you could not see the floor at all and both my mother and I almost fell over as we tripped on uneven ground on separate occasions - not great at any time but especially not good when carrying a 9 month old baby.

Overall we had a lovely time; it was peaceful, friendly, charming and relaxing. We would definitely go back.

Room Tip: The music from the children's entertainment at night can be quite loud so opt for a room in the...

I was there with my whole family 7 ppl for 10 days at the end of June 2013 we rented one of the villa right next to the pool
we loved everything so much that my family went back again for one more week at the end of August while I got stuck at work and could not join them
the best part beside the pool was the restaurant
the service was great and the food was outstanding
we are definitely going again back next year!!

We decided to stay at Oleandri Resort in Paestum based on the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, in particular the Kids Club. We have a 8 year old son and wanted him to really have fun at the Kids Club.
We stayed in Garden Appartment with nice patio and fair size for the 3 of us. Fully equipped kitchen. Close to swimming pool area. Great large pool and plenty of sun beds around for the guests to use.
The Kids Club was very disappointing and our son refused to go because the Italian staff could hardly speak any English and seemed only to cater and care for the Italian guests. The Kids Club was open from 10-1200 and again 14-1600. But we had no idea about the daily activities in the Kids Club as no information or programmes was available. Every night there was some kind of show for the kids, but always in Italian and same songs and music for children jumping around the stage.

In general we found the staff to have very limited English speaking skills and very difficult to communicate as the resort appeared to only cater for their Italian guests.

There was no information pack or folder in the room or via the TV in the room so a bit frustrating as we didn't know what was avaikable, meal times, car hire etc.

The beach club was great - only 250 meter from the hotel and with plenty of beach chairs, private restarant and toilet and shower facilites - excellent venue.

We had booked with half board and found the food to be of high quality, four course dinners. Also good provision for gluten free food which we had informed hotel about our son's dietary issues. But special selection provided by the hotel.

The WI FI worked very well in the public areas.

In general a very nice resort, good quality and decent facilities on offer. But my main concerns are; the lack of communication to the guests, very poor English speaking skills by almost all staff and the Kids Club which was a huge disappointment for our son and ourselves, especially considering the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and former guests rating Oleandri and voted the Family Resort in 2013. Oleandri should cater and care for Italian and English speaking guests alike.

When we arrived at the Oleandri we weren't sure what to expect, but the Reception staff were very welcoming, even if we weren't offered our welcome cocktail. The apartment we stayed in was a good standard, there was plenty of space for us and our 2 children and it was clean. The pool area was really lovely and we spent a lot of time here with the children. The beach was also wonderful and we were pleased we had reserved a front line spot as it meant we could relax while the children played on the beach. However, we were very disappointed by the kids club. I tried to take the children there once, only to be met with a young woman who hardly spoke any English and so I didn't feel happy leaving the children with her. My daughter was willing to give it a go as they were making necklaces, but after a few minutes she came to find me as she said it was boring just sitting watching the lady in charge cutting out. She had made no effort to include my daughter. It seemed that not many people in the kids club spoke English and so overally I didn't want to leave my children there. The restaurant was also unwelcoming. We were told there was a children's menu - chips - but we couldn't work out what else there was for the children to eat, the waiter hardly spoke any English and wasn't very helpful, and so alot of the time we ended up getting takeaway pizza. The breakfast was very good however. On our second day on the beach one of the lifeguards tried to tell us to move away from our reserved space as it was for hotel guests only until his colleague came and told him that he remembered us from the day before. Overall, we felt a bit left out of everything that was goin on at this resort. It was geared very much towards Italians and their families, but it would have made our holiday more enjoyable if the kids club had been a bit more inclusive for our English children. There was one afternoon when practically everyone at the hotel was involved in filming a video in the pool and we felt as if the invitation hadn't been sent to us! We didn't have a clue what was going on! In summary, a nice hotel but we wouldn't return. The location was ok, but you definitely need a car and it felt as if there wasn't enough nearby to stay longer than a few days.
