This is an amazing restaurant. Great local food, made from fresh and regional ingredients, with an owner that really makes you taste all the specialties and does not stop until you have tried all the nice things, for free of course. Very much recommended!!

The food was good value, simple and rustic and the restaurant had a great atmosphere thanks to the great music! Locals seem to like it here too!!

We had a fabulous evening, with a warm welcome and great atmosphere. The food was all local, and the wines too. We had plates of cheese and cold meats, accompanied by 3 cooked vegetables, including borridge, which I have seen in the garden, but never on my plate before. Don't be put off by the appearance of the restaurant, and check ahead for local music evenings. Closed on Tuesdays.

What a joy to discover somthing new in this ancient town. After several trips to the Amalfi Coast we wandered futher south to explore one of the oldest Greek settlements. Francesco, the manager of Il Granaio dei Casabella, the pleasent small hotel where we took up residence suggested we try dinner at Casa Rubini, the newly opened wine bar at Via Tavernelle, 200 meters from the hotel. What a find. Domenico, the owner, so determined to please explained that Casa Rubini, housed in a 150 year old building on the edge of the archeological park has taken its name from his mother's family. He plied us with seveal glasses of area wine while filling us with plate after plate of locally sourced foods by chef, Giovanni, his restaurant partner. The food was lovingly prepared and delicious with courses brought to an end only when we insisted (truthfully) that we could eat no more.
