As part of our trip to Capaccio and Paestum area, we planned a tour of bufala mozzarella and an area Agritourism. We selected the Azienda Seliano purely on reviews and what was on the web. If your goal is to eat local, home made cuisine then Seliano is perfect for that. The whole experience of wine and some terrific snacks on the loggia to the sit down 5-6 course dinner with other guests was absoluetely worth every euro. In a heart beat, we all agree we would do it again and highly recommend it to others. From the beautifully stuffed pumpkin flowers, similiar to what i grew up eating, to the final dessert was most memorable. The only reason that the rating is downgraded to a "4" is the not so great rooms we were assigned when we arrived. Our other traveling couple's room was "acceptable" but the room my wife and I were assigned to was not. Without getting into needless details, we complained nicely in Italian and ending up in a much, much better room but getting it done is not what one wants to do when one travels. The owners helped a good deal making sure we were happy. We were supposed to stay two nights but cancelled the second night because our new room we assigned to some other the party the 2nd night. Actually, it worked out well because we traveled to Taurasi area the next day and got some of the best bang for the buck we had on our trip. Summation of Seliano is that the meal is great, well worth the euro but if you stay the night, request a newer, recently remodeled room. Being close to Paestum and fresh mozzarella is noteworthy as well.
