This is a fantastic hidden gem of a hotel and a peaceful, quiet spot. It has a great location within walking distance of the Paestum archeological site and the beach. The staff are very willing to help in anyway they can and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The pool is lovely. Food also great, with excellent buffet breakfast, you have to try the buffalo milk yoghurt. The hotel is also within walking distance of buffalo farms, which make mozzarella. Rooms are good size, but the windows have to be shut for the air conditioning to work. Free wi-fi through-out hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be good, there is an old building and also annex, we stayed in both and recommend either.

A lovely estate on stunning grounds with a well appointed pool. The restaurant and lounge is warm & welcoming, as are the owners. The food is fresh & seasonal, with generous portions. A pretty little place to, perfect position to walk to the ruins & a fantastic Buffalo Mozarella farm is almost next door & not to be missed!

After touring the ruins at in Paestum my wife and I found the Hotel Rita to be a wonderful oasis to spend the night before beginning our trip south to Sicily.
The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were very nice and the open lobby area made you feel as if you were at home. We had dinner that evening in the well appointed dining room, which by the way was excellent followed by a very nice breakfast the next morning. Very enjoyable stay.....

We arrived at Hotel Villa Rita after experiencing the hustle of Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, and were immediately put at ease. The hotel is on a large quiet property with beautiful gardens and an immaculate swimming pool. Overall, a very relaxing atmosphere. We were able to walk to the archeological zone and mueseum and it was a short drive to the beach, which is very sandy and nice.

We are a family of four (girls ages 10 and 12) and the room was medium-sized for us, certainly adequate space that was clean and comfortable. The only negative was that the towels provided, while big, were the roughest towels I have ever used!

Dinner is offered for 16 euros per person (excluding beverages) and represents a great value. It is 5 courses and earlier in the day you make your selections for each course (offered two choices for each course). Everything tasted great, including the breakfast the next morning.

We only stayed one night, but certainly would have been happy having an extra day to relax and further explore the area.

We only stayed one night, as we were only here to see the temples. However the owners made us feel very welcome and gave us a great room in the villa as we're on our honeymoon. The rooms are very comfortable, and the grounds are really beautiful. I wish I'd had time for a swim and to lie around the pool! Dinner and breakfast were good. As others have mentioned its in an ideal location if you're visiting the temples as they're just across the road so you can walk there.

Make sure you go to the museum as well, it's truly remarkable.
