Cute apartment with super terrace and views. The space is really for just 2 people. We reserved it for 3 people because it had a sleeper sofa and was told is was comfortable... it was terrible. After one night our friend had to rent a room in a hotel which wasn't very close to us..(not many choices last minute) We were told it was a 3 minute walk from the apartment down to the restaurant area... turns out there were over 240 actual steps down and that doesn't include the other part of walking! We timed it and it was at least a 14 minute walk, and we are walkers, not crawlers! If you have any issues with steps, this is not the place for you as there are also 42 steps getting from the street up to the building.. however there is an elevator to get you to the 4th floor apartment. When we spoke to Lucia about not being told there were steps up to the building, she offered to help us with the luggage at checkout, but wrote me a text the morning we were checking out saying she wouldn't come until the afternoon. Checkout is listed at noon, so all our plans were based on leaving at that time, so we ended up having to carry the luggage ourselves. No teapot, microwave or ice trays. If you like a very firm/hard bed, you won't be disappointed.
The rest of the apartment was nicely appointed with plenty of supplies and amenities. There was a nice welcome with wine, fresh peaches, nectarines, bottled water, (they said to not drink the local tap water) and a bowl of tasty biscotti. The grocery store across the street was wonderful with fresh produce, good wine selection, fabulous Prosciutto and Pecorino cheese! I would really give this a 3 and a half stars, as 4 stars is too generous. And my answer about recommending this to a friend is "no," is mainly because of all the steps.
