This was one of our favorite meals on our honeymoon. The pasta was fresh and delicious. The meats were yummy, and the desserts were great! Of course, you can't beat the view either.

“La Tagliata... ...a family at work”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

Our family of five decided to give this a go, based on TripAdvisor Reviews. Since we stayed in nearby eagles' nest Nocelle, it was easily within reach. As early birds, we were given a table with a splendid view on the bay of Positano and treated to some delicious bruschette. A swift waiter explained us that there was no menu which was fine with us. We were served the three classical courses anipasto-primo-secondo with lots and lots of original vegetable dishes, delicious pumpkin-rucola filled ravili and tasty pork as secondo. The 2012 Tagliata accompanied this well. The family that runs it does everything to make your stay pleasant, topping it off with a safe drive home (or at least Nocelle, where we vacationed)
Five stars for the excellent service, the stunning view, the original vlaet service, the multiple vegetable variations and the "pasta della nonna".

“Great home style food”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

After a few windy roads along the cliff face of positano, we finally arrived at la tagliata! What a fantastic experience. The service and food was prompt with out being pushy. Food was traditional and an ubundance complete with antipasto, mixed vegetables and beans, 3 types of pasta, mixed grill with hand cut potatoes and green salad and lastly 3 types of Deseret and coffee oh and did u forget to mention a bottle of their nice house wine. Total $35 euro including transport per person. Would revommend in a heart beat. Finally so blissful being on top of the hill.

“You Must Go!”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

This restaurant is proabably one of the best, if not the best, restaurant I have ever dined at. From the delicious food to the amazing staff, this restaurant is a must see. It is family owned and the parents are the cooks... couldnt be more authentic! If you are in the area, you must go. They have a car service that picks you up and drops you off and it like a 4 course meal for 35 Euros. Try to go on a Tuesday or Friday because of the live music!
I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

“A Memorable Dining Experience”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

My wife and I ate lunch here on June 21. The restaurant was recommended by our driver Gerry with Sorrento First Choice Tours, who drove us up there. It was a fantastic experience, one of the highlights of our time in Italy. The restaurant is WAAAAYYYY up above Positano on a hairy drive that I would not want to make myself. (Thank you, Gerry!) When we arrived we were greeted like old friends and seated at a table on the terrace with a breathtaking view of Positano and the Mediterranean. Then, our waiter began to bring us food - and more food, and more and more and more. There is no menu - just a prix fixe meal of whatever the kitchen has fresh that day. Our meal did not include the meat course, which was a mercy as we would not have been able to finish it all. For 25 euros, it was a bargain, a steal. And the food was delicious, not fancy or gourmet, just well-prepared Italian cuisine with fresh, quality ingredients. (The highlight of the meal was a plate of cherries so fresh and ripe and juicy that I can still taste them!) Our waiter made a reference to "Mama cooking in the kitchen" and I thought, "Yeah, right, 'Mama' for the tourists;" but then I looked in the kitchen and, by gum, there WAS Mama, cooking away! This restaurant is a real experience - the view, the food, the service all make it special and memorable. Just make sure you don't have to drive all the way up there yourself! (I understand that the restaurant runs a shuttle service from Positano.) Oh - and the wine was included in the price of the meal, unlimited red and white, and it was excellent.
