This restaurant is high above Positano and provides a free shuttle to and from your Positano hotel. A fun atmosphere just going in the shuttle! There were lovely views over the hillside . We had special dietary needs - vegetarian and fish and this was no problem. The delightful food just kept coming. An amazing singer & instrumentalist entertained us. At 35 euros a head it was a wonderful, well- priced, complete evening out in Positano.

The place, the food, the service all are amazing! You are driven to what seems to be a cliff. The restaurant is perched on the edge and below is a gorgeous view of the mediterranean; it feels like you are sitting on a fabulous porch! Vincenzo's mom prepares whatever is fresh that day and it was all delicious! One of my all time favorite dining experiences.

If you visit Positano and don't eat here consider it a wasted dining experience. We made the mistake of eating lunch a little too late in the day because you will definitely want to save room for what Momma is cooking. 30 euros for all the wine you can drink and four amazing courses from the neighboring garden. First course and second pasta courses were my favorite, lots of eggplant and fresh veggies. My boyfriend cleaned up on the third meat course, which had more variety then most NYC restaurants. We very nearly had to be rolled out of there. Very accommodating shuttle bus picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel as this restaurant is a little outside of Positano - but do not let that stop you! Cannot wait to return.

What can we say - this has to be the best restaurant in the region - we went to La Tagliata weekly during our 1 month stay in Positano - its a "must go to" place. The concept is home style food, no menu and local vino at set price, where the food is more than plentiful and it is just fantastic - antipasta, pasta, meat, salad, desert and of course limoncello. We got to know Pepi very well and saw him down in Positano several times - he was always very friendly and stopped for a chat.

This meal was unlike anything else in Italy. You felt like family, maybe because the entire family works at this spectacular place. The courses are brought to you. There is no menu. I cant encourage travelers enough to go there. It was my favorite place on the coast...
