Where to start...
You forget all your worries and troubles of the day once you see the view (and OH, what a view) from your private balcony of Positano. Breathtaking is all I can say! And besides the view, the staff at the B&B were the best of the whole trip. They are so warm, nice, and hospitable. Giuseppe greeted us with a smile at the front gate and even though he has limited English we communicated through gestures and a few words (cutest guy ever). Gilda is like the mother hen of the house, always providing and making sure everything is good. Rosa and Daniella were the most helpful people showing us how to get to certain places and what to do. Rosa spoke very good English and enjoys practicing it. EVERYONE was awesome!

The grounds of the B&B were amazing! Fresh vegetables and fruit trees are plentiful around the property and many places to sit and laze around. Our room was a standard with not a lot of frills but we had everything you needed including a small kitchen. You can't beat the patio, love sitting out there day and night. Beds were a little hard but it is very doable (especially after walking all day up and down hills, and by the end of the day the beds are comfy). Breakfast was so delicious with fresh fruit, hot coffee, eggs to your liking, and plenty of bread and pastry. We always felt very welcome to come sit down and relax in their open kitchen with a view. We felt like a part of the family. As for location, it is perfect! Be aware it is a walk to Positano but everywhere in Italy is a walk so it wasn't a big deal. It was 10 min walk along the curvy road from Gilda house's gate to the road entrance before going down into Positano which took another 10 minutes if you go all the way down to the beach. SITA bus stops are all along the road (and frequent) and you can take the bus (buy a ticket from Rosa or Daniella) to anywhere along the coast (they are packed during peak hours and season). There is a bus stop just 50 or so yards from the house. Make sure to ask where to go for something good to eat. They always know the the best places and you are not wasting your time searching for one. And some even offer car service to pick-up guest to get business like C'era una Volta (SO good!).

I could go on and on about this place and how awesome they were but you will just have to see for yourselves. You will fall in love with Positano!

Pointers:
1. Make sure you are in Positano when getting off that ferry (we learned the hard way, taxi trip from Almalfi was 70 Euros). :(
2. Ride the SITA bus
3. Take a ferry ride once to anywhere along the coast (you won't regret it)
4. Climb the Paths of the Gods (ask Rosa about it)...breathtaking views high above
5. Visit the private less crowded beach, Spiaggia Arienzo
6. Stay more than 2 nights (wish we did).
7. Start with Salerno as your jumping off point to get to Positano, another fabulous town (or Sorrento).
8. Make sure to mingle with the staff, it is what makes the Holiday House so special.

Nice setting by the road. We had only stayed 1 night, but the approach of the family was 1st class. We just came up on the way to Positano for a one night stay. They welcomed us and saw that tired and offered expresso from the house to have a rest. If you are looking for a true family run facility, with stunning view. This is a great deal. You feel like visiting your family members which couldnt meet for a long time. Very helpful, and real hosts. Even ride us to Positano where we were tryibg to catch the boat to Capri.

We're an elderly couple who stayed here for a week in early May. We were blown away by the view from our balcony when we first entered the apartment. Rosa was extremely friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. She made wonderful recommendations for restaurants, arranged for them to pick us up, and gave us lots of tips to make our visit even better. We loved the morning breakfast with Rosa, Gilda, and her wonderful family. They became like our family and are very lovely people.
This is an experience that you won't want to miss. The facilities are gorgeous, and the owners are happy, helpful, and kind.

Room Tip: I don't know if there is a bad apartment here. We loved ours and our friends had a wonderful apartment also.

From the minute we entered our apartment we knew it was paradise. The view was spectacular! We felt as if we were part of the family and enjoyed seeing what was cooking each day. Breakfast was enjoyable. The arranged pick ups each night to go to restaurants. We will return.
