The villa is outside Positano, perched on the cliff top with stunning views over the sea. Very peaceful. Large rooms: kitchen, 3 beds, 2 bath and sitting room and, best of all, the balcony that runs the entire length of the house. Pool is not large or heated but great to have in this area (where the beaches are small and ridicuously crowded). The family are welcoming and helpful and live on the floor below. The steps to/from the road will keep you fit. There are about 6 car parking places at the top but people visiting the town prk there too and half the time we had to park a 5-10 min walk further on. All in all, we'd much rather stay here tha in the centre of town where it is hotter, nosier and very bust. Positano is a much nicer place to stay than Amalfi or Sorrento, though it is more expensive to eat out. Many restaurants will collect/return you from the villa - ask Vito for suggestions or look on here. Our suggestions to the owners would be to provide some cooking items like salt, pepper and olive oil, and to produce prints/postcards of some the great photos Vito has taken, as I'm sure people would but them.

Amazing views. Suites are immaculate. The staff/owners are friendly and very helpful. Perfect place to begin our exploration of Italy. Can't say enough about the special touches offered by Maria, Vito, Franko and the family.

Punta del Sole is without a doubt paradise on earth. The spectacular views over the mediterranean and mountains from the enormous terrace beckon you to do nothing but relax and take it all in. The owners Maria and her lovely sons Vito and Franco are so incredibly nice and helpful and always there for anything you may need or to give advice about Positano. Maria's homemade limoncello is also the best in all of Italy! Views from the pool are also incredible and is a great way to have a swim if you're too relaxed to walk down to the beach! Peaceful. relaxing, beautiful, couldn't recommend it more highly.

Positano is a truly beautiful, friendly place, but what made our trip so special was this fantastic accommodation provided by Vito and his mother, Maria, and brother, Franco. From the start they made us feel like we were staying with family. They were always there whenever we needed anything. The views from Punta del Sole are out of this world, the swimming pool is private and relaxing, the facilities are spot on, perfect for cooking, relaxing with a drink whilst admiring the view, whatever you want. Great restaurants close by too. Highly recommended!

We came to Positano to have a nice, relaxing holiday away from it all! It was well worth it! Starting from the wonderful friendly Italian welcome from Maria and her family to the beautiful beaches of Positano. The swiming pool is fantastic and the views are just beyond words. The villa has plenty of space and everything that you could possibly want or need. This is truly a paradise that is a rarity to find when you go on holiday.
