We had a suite with a fantastic view. Breakfast is served on your terrace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location in Positano. We would stay here again.

There is nothing wrong with these apartments.

On our three month trip around Europe, these apartments are our most expensive accommodation and were nowhere near the nicest. This is no doubt due to the location of the apartments, and the fact that Positano is a such a sought after destination.

The room was large, and clean, with typical Amalfi coast decoration. Air-con was functional. Bed was reasonably comfortable.
The balcony was also spacious, but as we were a lower room, we had our view of the sea blocked by a parking garage.

The breakfast served was nice, and it was good to be able to eat on our balcony.

Would look for other locations before booking this again.

Alcione is located right next to Hotel California. Given the choice, we'd prefer to stay at Alcione.

Both establishments offer very good value accommodation for Positano, without compromising too much on location. We stayed here in the lead up to our wedding. It was ideal as we stayed in Positano for 10 days. (stayed at Palazzo Murat closer to the wedding).

Next time we stay in Positano, we'll stay here.

We were very happy with the friendly welcome we received. We pulled up outside, had our car taken to it's garage, and bags to our room. Our residence had our own big balcony where our fabulous breakfast turned up every morning at our nominated time. The staff from the shop downstairs were always on hand to help with any queries. The 10 minute walk to the beach was great going down but a puff coming up. Des& Jan Adams New Zealand

Very reasonable hotel in Positano - great location, fantastic vista from your own terrace with sun-lounge and table and 2 chairs, electric awning to keep the sun at bay in the afternoon, but leave it up in the morning for fabulous 180 degree view of Positano and the sea - bliss with the perfect breakfast served. All the staff were very friendly and I would recommend this place for a well priced, decent sized room, clean, large bathroom hotel.

Room Tip: I think they all have a sea view, but worth checking as the terrace is stunning day or night.

I found them on Summer on Italy. Everything was as described. Great location, just far even up to get the views and some exercise, but not so far that it was a struggle to get anywhere. Very friendly and helpful staff. I hope I'll be back. Wifi only worked in the reception area.

Room Tip: Siren 1 to 3 have excellent views.

My wife and I stayed at Residence Alcione during the 2nd week of May and we had a fabulous vacation.

Residence Alcione is extremely well located in Positano, offers breathtaking views from its terraces and balconies and the staff who manage and work at Residence Alcione are wonderful and will treat you like family.

We really enjoyed the fact that the Residence is extremely well located for all the activities and visiting both in Positano and elsewhere on the Amalfi Coast:
- Just a few hundred meters down the road there is a main SITA bus stop which you can use to effeciently and comfortable get to pretty much anywhere on the Amalfi Coast (Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, Praiano, ...)
- Just across the Residence there is a bus stop for the local Positano bus which you can use to get to the other end of Positano (Chiesa Nuova district). You can also hop on this bus to get to Nocelle, from where the «Walk of the Gods» hiking trail begings.
- The beach is located a short 5-10 minute walk down. On your way you will cross nice boutiques, art dealears and restaurants.
- A short walk down a few steps you will find the «alimentari» (delikatessen/food market) where you can find everything you need to arrange a great picnic (or even a more elaborate meal) on you beautiful terrace at Residence Alcione. The fresh «mozzarella di buffala» cheese, olives, grilled vegetables and other prepared antipasti are just great. All you need is a bottle of wine and a loaf of bread and you are all set for a delicious light meal or snack. At the same market you will also find fruits, vegetables, milk, juice, coffee and anything else you might need.

One of the strong points of Residence Alcione is the friendlineess and helpfulness of the staff. Fernanda is one of the friendliest and most welcoming persons we have come across during our many recent stays in Italy. She instantly make you feel at home with her warmth and will really go out of her way to make sure you enjoy your stay at the Residence. Fernanda is also a wealth of information and, at your request, can provide you suggestions on restaurants, activities and sightseeing. She will also handle all the bookings for you. We rented some scooters and Fernanda arranged to have them delivered and picked-up right at the residence (free of charge). Thanks again Fernanda for the great stay we had at Residence Alcione|

Internet access is available at a reasonable charge (10 Euros for a 12 hour bank). We found the 12 hour bank to be more than enough for our 1 week stay. Service was generally reliable and the speed was decent.

The Residence also provides a cleaning service (every 2 days) at no extra charge, which we found to be a nice touch.

We ate awesome food in Positano's restaurants. I especially recommend Mediteraneo, La Tagliata, Lo Guaracino, Cafe Positano. We ran out of time to try «Il Scirocco», but everyone we spoke to said it was awesome. They also provide a free shuttle if you go for dinner. If you are fan of Neapolitan music, Mediteraneo features live Neapolitan music 3 times a week. If you want to try traditional, home-cooked style food then don't miss La Tagliata.

Room Tip: Ask for room «Sirene 1» - Awesome sized terrace!!
