Hotel Miramare exceeded my expectations- I knew based on family recommendations and trip advisor reviews that we would love it . I can't begin to explain how Rosita, Nicola and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and so much more. They arranged a ceremony to have our wedding vows renewed and made sure it was exactly what we wanted it to be. Magical. Everything about this hotel is fantastic (the rooms- apartment is perfect set up for a family of 5, the view, breakfast, on and on), but what made it over the top special was the love Rosita has for her guests. I will be back and I would tell anyone who visits this stunning part of Italy to stay here!! Rosita and Nicola we love you!!

Room Tip: Apartment is perfect set up for family of 5- even 2 bathrooms!! The balcony was very big with lots o...

Upon arriving at Hotel Miramare after a long journey from Boston, running on 2 hours of sleep, we were graciously welcomed by the staff, particularly Rosita. She had sent a porter to carry all 4 of our suitcases down the stairs. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were spacious, but the best part of the hotel is the view from the balcony. Simply breathtaking.

All of the members at the front desk were extremely caring and wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. However it was Rosita in particular that made our stay extra special. Her warm and inviting attitude lit up the room, greeting us with hugs and kisses. On many occasions, she went out of her way to make sure our plans went accordingly. She recommended many restaurants and made reservations for us. She gave us many tips to navigate Positano and to avoid common tourist traps. If I could rate the service above a 5, I would.

Breakfast was served promptly every morning and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.

The cleaning staff kept our room spotless. Even when we left the room for only a few hours, our room was always cleaned when we returned.

We felt that we were treated like members of the family, opposed to just another guest. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering.

It is very satisfying to learn that you were pleased with the welcome you received from our Staff, especially after a transatlantic flight and the drive to follow. The last thing we want is for our clients to be struggling with baggage after a taxing journey, our Porters are here to assist you. Thank you for mentioning me by name. I am delighted that you found the terrace to your liking, it is such a beautiful vista. It is equally pleasing that you found your room 'spotless', and that you appreciated the quality of our household Staff. They work tirelessly to ensure that our Guests are comfortable.

I am always delighted to recommend restaurants, bars, boat excursions, shoppes, whatever a client needs or wants. When these recommendations result in positive reviews, I am once more convinced that this is the job I was meant to do. And yes, on occasions there are hugs and kisses exchanged. These are the memories I will carry with me always.

But the thing that I most love hearing is that a Client feels as though they were treated like members of our Family. That is as good as it gets. Thank you. Please come and stay with us again.

Our short stay at this delightful hotel began with meeting Rosita, the manager who walked us through everything we'd need to know about the hotel, Positano and the surrounding areas. She was amazingly thorough, caring, and friendly. She is an amazing ambassador for the hotel. The spacious room had a deck with an astounding view of paradise. It was quiet, clean and very well-kept. When we had a small issue with our shower not draining, it was fixed immediately. We highly recommend this charming hotel and try to meet Rosita while you are here!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the water. We chose to take a ferry to Capri-a good option for a day t...

Last time we visited Positano, we stayed at the Punta Regina. They are related to the Miramare.
While both are very nice, I think the rooms are a little larger at Punta Regina and the roof top breakfast room with pool sets Punta Regina apart. The biggest issue we have location due to the steps that you have to go down. We counted over 200 steps to the beach alone, and that is fine going down, but a pain going up. Anyone with a leg problem or the elderly would not be happy with this hotel. The views are much better though and the staff is very nice and helpful. As long as you are healthy and able bodied, you will enjoy this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel but you need to be prepared for the 100 steps to get to it. That is right I said 100. We had to lug our suitcases down but they do carry them up for you at check out. You need to go up the 100 to get to all shops restaurants etc so if you like to be able to go back to your room frequently or if you have any knee problems -stay somewhere else. Views are amazing but there are no showers only tubs with handheld sprayers. Breakfast room is beautiful and the breakfast is excellent. Staff was friendly.

Hotel Miramare was an excellent hotel to stay for our first visit to Positano/Amalfi Coast. We arrived late at night after an evening train to Naples, and took a private car service to Positano. Upon arrival, we were a bit disappointed to find a rather small standard room (even by European standards, we believe) that wasn't even that clean (the bathroom needs updating, and there were some dead bugs on the floor and on the walls). But we will say that the disappointment ended there. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C worked perfectly. The views from our spacious balcony were top-notch, and the breakfast offerings were quite satisfying (assortment of pastries, breads, fruit, meats and cheeses--all pretty standard and nothing extraordinary but we had no complaints). The location of Miramare is great: about a 15 minute walk down to the beach and a 5 minute hike up to the main road (if you have heavy bags or require assistance transporting bags, you will want to call the hotel ahead of time to send a porter!). There is really no parking for the hotel, save a few spots up on the main road that look barely sufficient for 2-3 Fiat 500s, and I have no idea what the charges are for parking.

Rosita might be one of the most gracious and helpful concierges/hostesses we have ever encountered. Her demeanor will warm up any weary traveler and she tirelessly works to help you make reservations or plan itineraries.

Overall, I would rate this somewhere between average/good to very good but Rosita pushes it up to a Very Good. Would definitely stay again and would also recommend to others.

Room Tip: Their website details room sizes and amenities, but call or email directly to ensure that you are re...
