“Great hostel”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

This place was wicked! We would definitely stay here again. Andy made us feel at home and went out of his way to accommodate us. There are not many people around this time of year but that made the experience better! Instead of 20 000 tourists you have 2000 local Italians which was really nice. The weather was also pretty bad but the hostel made up for it with nice people, good rooms and excellent views. Andy suggested some walks in the surrounding area which was great and the restaurant across the road was some of the best pizza and pasta we had in Italy.

Room Tip: The private room has a view and is very reasonable for the area

This hostel is a great choice for anyone looking for a cheaper accommodation on the Amalfi Coast. The hostel is just a short walk from the first bus stop in Positano (Chisea Nuova/Bar Internazionale) and has an amazing view of the town and water as it is high on the hill. The hostel has a small little bar and a wonderful patio with chairs and tables that lets you enjoy the beautiful view. The room I had also had its own private balcony with more tables and chairs- which was a nice place to relax. The room I stayed in was very nice and had its own private bathroom which was good and the shower stalls in the shared bathroom seemed small and I don’t think they had a place in which to change (but still the bathroom was clean and nice otherwise). You could also rent a locker here for 5 euros- which was returned to you after you gave back the key. The hostel also had breakfast options for about five euros including eggs, toast, yogurt, etc. However, there is a small grocery store right next to the bus stop where you can buy much cheaper options for breakfast, lunch and dinner- so that was very helpful.
My one major critique of this hostel is that it could be EXTREMELY loud. There were a lot of young people staying at the hostel who were keen on drinking/partying thus they would congregate on the patio and talk loudly while getting drinks from the bar and playing music until late at night. One of the hostel workers (Tom?) also played the music and would be chatting with the guests. This was quite frustrating at times because a few nights it was very hard to sleep. It was definitely the loudest hostel I went to on my trip throughout Italy.

I stayed here for two nights and it was the best hostel experience I have had in my month of travelling around Europe. The atmosphere is amazing, everybody is incredibly friendly and the staff pretty much join in (special mention to Tom who was a very good laugh!). The view from the balcony is unbeatable considering the very reasonable price that I paid! The breakfast that is offered every morning from 7.30 until 11 for 5 euro is very good and eating it on the balcony is paradise! Although no alcohol is allowed in the hostel, there is a very well priced bar (1 euro shots and 3 euro for a large peroni). The beds are decent and the bathroom facilities are clean, and I could not recommend a trip to this hostel more!

I absolutely loved this hostel.
The view is incredible. There's a large patio/balcony overlooking the town. It was breathtaking, and the fact that I got that view for a very great price was unbeatable.
The staff is awesome. Best hostel staff I have ever encountered. Amazing hospitality.
Security system is great (No keys...fingerprint scanners! Fancy)
The atmosphere at the hostel was unbeatable. Because of it's size, it's so easy to meet people. The reception ended up being a hang out spot where everyone got to know each other. The staff cooks a really good, and really cheap dinner that the other hostellers take advantage of.
This hostel was the highlight of my 2.5 month solo trip around Europe. I will DEFINITELY be back.

Room Tip: There's a room you can book that has its own private balcony.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The drinks and breakfast are cheap and delicious. Great verandah with heaps of backpackers. Loud music at night and cheap cocktails. Close to main beach, they even booked out blue grotto tour for us :) great service, great value for money

I stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved the place, firstly Peter, Christiana, Tom and Catelyn were amazing really accommodating and made some of the best dinners I had in Italy for only 5 euros the lemon cake was the highlight.

Positano is an amazing place with beautiful beaches and close to the path of the gods, which I missed out on because I partied too much so just stuck to the beach and the hostels terrace.

I'd recommend staying over the weekend as they arrange club nights with free bus travel to Africana for only 15 euros was an amazing nightclub built into a cave and easily on par with the clubs in Ibiza.

Room Tip: If you want a early night book a room to the rear as the terrace gets lively on a night
