Punte Regina is a very upscale hotel that is about a 15 min walk downhill into the town of Positano. It is lovely in many ways; however, I would not stay here again given the price and the experience. It read so well in all the reviews, and looked so wonderful on the website, that we expected a better experience than we had.

The décor is lovely classic Positano and the rooms were very clean.
The view from the rooftop terrace is very nice.

The balcony, for which we paid extra, was not so nice. It had overgrown vegetation that attracted tons of mosquitoes. The hot tub water was not hot and we had to reset it several times. The tub was placed right next to a large bush so mosquitoes were out in force. The tub was not placed in a spot where you could sit in it and see the sea view.

The room had a sliding glass door between the room and the balcony which turned into a huge greenhouse effect in the afternoon unless the AC stayed on - which is what we wanted. When we would return to the room, housekeeping would always have come in and opened up the sliding glass door and turned off the AC, so the room would be HOT and full of flies. No matter what we could not get them to keep the AC on and the sliding glass door closed so we would always be hot.

There is no real shade on the rooftop patio. In a breeze, the small individual umbrellas shake and fall over.

Worst, the pickup of our luggage from the ferry and transport to the hotel took 3 hours which completely killed our afternoon as we had to sit in the hot stuffy room waiting. If we had known it would be 3 hours, we would have walked it up the hill ourselves or would have gone and done something else. But reception kept telling us that it would be there right away.

The staff was nice but I would not stay here again.

The property was very clean and employees were so kind and helpful. They arranged private transportation from and back to Naples which helped a lot. My 6 year old loved the pool and we loved the property's location in Positano. Breakfast was great. The only thing we will do differently is to get a room not on the first floor which faces the street as it can get noisy at night.

Everything about this hotel is delightful from the more than helpful staff to the spacious, beautiful rooms to the infinity pool overlooking the sea!Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the emerald water and the villas of Positano....what a start to your day!Paradise!
