We just left Villa Palumbo- had booked two rooms for two couples, two generations, 30's and 60's. unanimously, we loved Villa Polambo. Thought it really nice, loved the terrace balconies for each room facing the mountain, and city of Positano. At nit, the far side sparkled with the lights from town and remote , single lights of houses and villages nestled in the mountain. The owners are very friendly, and helpful. Place seemed totally occupied with friendly travelers from around the world. Bathroom very clean, nicely decorated. Balconies a real treat. Owners live there which make them very responsible and responsive. Antonio brings breakfast- which is very nice: cheese, meat, cappacino or drink of choice, juice, croissant. Lovely. Water in room refrigerators.
Rooms are well designed with beautiful wood doors.
If you are coming by SITA bus , take Positano Chiesa Nuevo stop (ask driver as there are 2 Positano stops). It was an easy walk downhill to hotel. We were coming from Amalfi and wondered if we should take boat or bus from Amalfi , you can do either, but bus worked out very well and most reasonably. Enjoy this lovely place. Oh, a side note. If you are wondering about swimming.... People were still swimming on Oct 3rd. Also we really enjoyed neighborhood restaurant that hotel recommended to us.C'era Una Volta - it was best eating experience of 10 day Italy trip.More
