My wife and I along with another couple stayed here for 6 nights and could never get enough of the view. We read about the posible difficulties with the steps, distance from the car park, and the method of payment and were somewhat concerned prior to booking. All of those concerns dissapeared once we opened two bottles of beer and a bottle of wine on the balcony.
If you are overweight, out of shape, or have difficulty getting around, this is not the place for you. If you are bored and tired of staying at a traditional hotel, you'll love this experience.
The Inn was everything described in previous reviews, the village gives a true "Italy" feel, and you will say to yourself "I thought staying in Italy was going to be expensive". When we spoke with people staying in Positano, they all wished they were looking down at the town rather than looking up at the mountains. Depending on the place you stay, you could find yourself looking at somebody else's laundry. You will not have to worry about your view here.
The pizza restaraunt talked about earlier does indeed have some of the nicest views in the world. We were welcomed like family and ate there 5 nights at 5 different tables and had 5 different experiences, whether it's the owner singing, the different views or the effort put forth by the owners to ensure a memorable meal.
The walk of gods is a real hike that one has to be ready for. Flip flops and sandles won't cut it, your hiking on a real hiking trail.
The bus works great and is a show in itself. Waiting for the bus in Positano, I would always have a large Peroni beer to prep myself up for the ride up.
We rented a car and were glad we did. We didn't always use it but when we had it, we didn't have to worry about which bus to take to get to wherever we were going. I was hesitant about it at first but if your a good driver in North America, you'll become a better driver in Italy.
All in all, we loved our stay in Nocelle and after seeing all the other towns in the area, were glad we chose that one.

Incredible view, very quiet, very relaxing
Really good breakfast and amazing cappuccino
Rooms were very clean, stuff was very helpful
Free internet access in dining room
I'm very glad we made the decision to stay in quiet Nocelle than noisy Positano. You have bus from morning until 10pm - be sure to catch the last bus if you don't want to take the 45min trip on stairs :)

Room Tip: all the rooms are breathtaking

We booked our stay at Villa la Quercia because of a review found on Trip Advisor. It sounded wonderful, and adventuresome. It was just that.
The town of Nocelle is the last bus stop from Positano, and the roads end there. The rest is stairways and walkways(mostly stairs). A bit confusing to actually find La Quercia, as there were no signs at the bus stop, and of course we did it all wrong, but that was all apart of the adventure! Make sure you go down the steps and stay to your left, past the store/Restaurant(our favourite of our trip) past the little piazza, then at the T in the walkway, where there is a drinking fountain, make a right down the steps and it is on the right. If you go past the church on the left you have gone to far! (you can tell we did this!)
Felicia and Salvatore own La Quercia, Salvatore's refurbished family home and they are as sweet and wonderful as their establishment!
The room was perfect...clean, comfortable...and the view was incredible. The kind that you wish everyone you love could share with you. In the morning you are on par with the clouds.
The grounds are very nice, they are situated in the village, which is inhabited by the locals. It is very quiet, with the exception to the rooster in the morning! All apart of the charm. Felicia's gardens walkway is beautiful, and their entrance iron gate is incredible. Everyone is friendly, and you feel apart of the town.
There are 2 restaurants in town, one as I mentioned earlier is a taverna/pizzaria "Il Ristoro de "Gli Dei" behind the local store, the other more of typical Trattoria. We would have gone to the trattoria, but we happened to stumble upon Gli Dei for a simple afternoon glass of wine, and were blown away by the view, the place(in a natural cave!) and the service from the wonderful family that owns it. I will write a review for it later, but don't miss this place, it would be easy to do!
Breakfast is simple and satisfying, pastry, fruit, juice, and Salvatore makes a wonderful capaccino.
They ask you to book 2 nights, and the 1st night is to be paid in advance by wire, as they do not accept credit. They communicate very well, and eveything was fine.
It was very quiet, only one other couple the 1st night, only us the 2nd, just like having our own little villa!
I would love to go back if I am ever so lucky.

This was definitely the high point of our trip to Italy. Its a beautiful beautiful place with a stunning view of the Amalfi coastline. Salvatore and Carmela are very welcoming and warm and the B&B is sort of a small post colonial palace - overall an enchanting place to stay in. Also there is a great Pizzeria five minutes away (near the Parking lot & below the grocery shop) that serves amazing food.

We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at La Villa Quercia. It's in a beautiful town called Nocelle about 20 mins from Positano by bus and it is an absolute dream. The rooms were big, as were the bathrooms. Every room had a balcony with an amazing view of Positano and the coastal towns. Breakfast was delicious with fresh custard pastries and bread served every morning and the cappuccinos were to die for. Our hosts Salvatore and Carmella were outstanding - going over and beyond to ensure we had the best stay. A couple of times they served us breakfast out of serving hours because we had day trips to Capri and Pompeii organised. There are only 2 restaurants in town but they are seriously great value and our favorite restaurant was one that simply said pizze as you walk down the stairs leading to Villa la Quercia. An unforgettable stay in this amazing little town, great value for money and just lovely to come back to after a day at the beach. Loved it and will definitely be back.

We just stayed here for the second time. Salvatore and Carmela are so welcoming and warm. The rooms and bathrooms are lovely, the view from the spacious terrace is beautiful, and Nocelle is our favorite little village on the Amalfi peninsula. It's so much nicer than staying on the water, especially if you want to do some walking. There is an excellent trattoria and a pizzeria. Nocelle is at one end of the famous Sentiero degli Dei (Pathway of the Gods) There is a bus down to Positano.
