Owner description: This stretch of coastline has often been described as the most beautiful in the entire Mediterranean. One after another, green and rocky mountains plunge dramatically into the Mediterranean blue sea. The famous Amalfi Coast road clings to the mountainsides revealing a succession of picture book views each seemingly more stunning than the one before. Not so many years ago much of this coast was only accessible by boat. Now it is a fashionable resort area which retains the charm of past times.

“Nice , quiet, and clean beach”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

The most charming beach close to Positano centre, within walking with amazing views. Clean water, well maintained beach, cafe around. Best recommendation.

“Lovely beach”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

A short walk from the middle of Positano this is well worth a visit. Secluded, quiet (not sure in summer of course) but we enjoyed our swim here in late October! Water is clean and beautiful!

“Nice, secluded beach.”
Reviewed 18 October 2013

It is a short walk away from the main beach of Positano, and definitely worth a look. It is secluded and quaint, away from the main town itself.

“A great surprise!”
Reviewed 15 October 2013 via mobile

We fell across the small beach and this lovely taverna. We had been told to go to da Adolfo as it was so wonderful. Having spent the previous day here in such friendly relaxing and spacious surroundings, we hurried back on day two after spending 30 mins in the smelly dirty tiny area of da Adolfo. This is a great place, good simple fare and nice people.

“Secluded quiet beach”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

It can be a little difficult to find but we got the information and map at the nearby tourist information office. You start the walk slightly uphill, by the ferry dock, and think you are heading to a hotel or restaurant but when you get to the top of the sloping short walk you see that it continues towards Fornillo beach. It is a very nice and beautiful 5-10 minute walk with lovely coves along the way. Once you get to the beach you will find chairs and umbrellas for half the price (10 euros for 2) than the main crowded large beach.

It is very peaceful and quiet and a lot more private than the main large beach. You can walk to the end of the beach and sit there for free on your own beach towels if you like. There are a couple of restaurants for snacks and drinks and a small gift and souvenir shop. I recommend this beach more than the main large beach. We tried them both. At the main large beach there is an area where you can also sit for free and see the hustle and action of the people and ferries coming and going as well as the rented boats launch area. When you look back up from either beach you can see the amazing cliff hanging properties in Positano.
