What a place, what a view!
Villa Amica is absolutely amazing place to stay and visit Positano and the rest of the Amalfi Coast.
House is well kept, clean and equipped with style and taste, and the kitchen is great to make decent dinners to enjoy them in outside terrace with breathtaking view. There is a grill too for bbq, but we didn´t try it.
Villa Amica is also well located. The grocery stores, ATM, fish&meet shop and couple of bars/restaurants are near, and the centre of the city is also quite close - "only" few hundreds of stair away. Yes, in Positano you have to climb the stairs all the time, which may sound awful, but its not that bad at all.
We stayed Villa Amica for a week with two children (7 and 4 years) and we recommend both Villa Amica and Positano dearly to the families with children, but only if they can and will walk.
To reach Positano takes a little time. We came with train from Rome to Napoli, then a local train to Sorrento and finally a local bus to Positano. It took some four hours altogether + flights. In Positano, Silvio, one of the property owners, waited for us at bus stop and kindly took care some of our luggages as well. The house is about five minutes walk away from the bus stop, just next to famous local bar, "Bar International".
The week went by so quickly. Positano, Capri, Ravello, Amalfi and Montepertuso all checked. It´s time to hit the road again.
Thank you so much, Silvio and Gianluca, for a great house and your help and hospitality!
