“Amazing B&B”
Reviewed 17 July 2013

We had an amazing time during our 4 days stay at Fiore's B&B. Our room was very clean, new and had a nice private veranda. The breakfast is served on a nice veranda in the garden including fresh fruits from her own garden.. Fiore is a warm-hearted host and you have the chance to get the best and very helpful recommendations on beaches, restaurants and must sees as well as maps, flyers and literature on places you are interested in.. Although you'll find beautiful beaches within relatively short distances, it's necessary to have your own car to get around. We can really recommend this B&B for a stay on Sardegna!

Dear F. and L.,
thank you for the review and to have brought to the attention that a car here is strongly advise. Downtown Pula and Nora are 3 km away and the beautiful beaches of Chia, Tuerredda and so on are 15/30 minutes away. It would be a pity to be here and to miss them! Agumu bay is at walking distance but you woud need to cross the SS195 by foot, which is not recommended. Agumu Bay is not the best beach around but is not so bad, after all: you can find a sailing club, a protected bay, a beach tennis court, and the quiet of a secondary beach with free parking, even on the 15th of August. We spend some time there, especially on Sunday.
I hope to see you again, all the best from us! Fiore

B&B Fiore is a lovely place, perfectly and passionately run by Fiore: we enjoyed a week in this place with a very nice room, an evenly nice garden - where breakfast is served - with a diversity of fruit-trees so that we stayed several days until long after breakfast in this peaceful and calm garden.
Fiore is always very helpful and kind and full of hospittality. Her suggestions on activities to spend a gorgeous day and evening seem endless.
The place is "strategically" very well located, being the city of Pula just 5 min away and all the "Southern beaches" within less than a 30 min ride.
Long story short: Thanks Fiore for your hospitailty and charming ambiance!

Dear Christina and Martin,
thank you so much for sharing your opinion about B&B Fiore in Tripadvisor.
It has been a pleasure to be your host in a period of time when the weather is warm but not hot and nature gives its best, including the first figs. In June I still can advise about itineraries, what I like the most. When Summer proceeds, it gest too hot for hiking/biking.
Best wishes from all of us and arrivederci in South Sardinia! Fiore

We've spent amazing 2 weeks with Fiore and her family in june this year. Would recommend this place to anyone who hates mass treatment in hotels and is really keen on exploring south Sardinia - as Fiore's advice is priceless! the best figs (from Fiore's garden) and green tomatoes (from the farmers market next door) I've ever had. One pice of advice - rent a car as you will need it to fully enjoy your stay.

Yes Malina, thank you for stressing that you absolutely need a transportation mean to explore the surroundings! I already replied to Jack's review, thank you again for your nice presence here. It has been a pleasure to have someone like you both, who could get the best out of South Sardinia, also with my little help!

What a wonderful place to stay. Family run B&B with excellent service , perfect location for beatiful Chia beaches such a relaxing time. We went there for 2 weeks from 24/06/2013 till 08 July. the weather was fantastic clear blue sky, crystal clear sea with turquise colour water , lovely white sandy beaches. We've been few times to Carribean islands and I can't believe that we have to travel that far for something which is only 2 hrs and 20 min flight from London. We have fantastic host Fiore with her husband Carlo and adorable daughter Viola to help us to choose every day different beach. We were doing this while eating breakfast in their lovely garden and picking fresh figs from the trees. there is a farmers market across the fence where you can get all fresh fruits , enormous range of tomatoes and cheeses for reasonable price. Thank you guys for such a lovely holidays.Jack&Malina

The marking reflects the b&b and not Fiore who was very friendly and helpful. The b&b is situated on the main road from Cagliari and has a large pleasant garden. On our tour of Sardinia we stayed at six other b&bs and this was the only one that did not provide toiletries (when asked Fiore did produce her own bottle of shampoo to use as soap and shower gel as well as shampoo) and had an unpleasant smelling toilet emptying into a septic tank. We were told as far as possible to place toilet tissue in a bin near the toilet as too much paper could damage the septic tank. We did not find this a pleasant experience. Another rule was to refrain from making a noise from 11 pm onwards which was probably made because the walls are so thin that you can hear people in neigbouring units. We had no problem complying with the 11 pm rule but found it hard to sleep at nights because the fridge in our room was very noisy and it was hot with the air conditioning switched off. Although there is an air conditioning unit in the room, when swiched on there is a glaring band of blue light which is so bright it is like trying to sleep during the day without curtains. We also had cobwebs, dead insects on the ceiling and live mosquitoes which drove us to buy an electric mosquito repellent device. The furniture was very minimalistic. We stayed three nights and wished we had never left our previous b&b in nearby Cagliari which charged the same price but offered much more in terms of accommodation and service, not to mention nearby amenities

Dear M.,
thank you for the appreciation about my person and about the garden. My husband, in particular, thanks you, because he is the one who takes care of it and who picks every morning the fresh fruits that you probably had for breakfast, in early June the first figs.
We are a young structure (this our 3rd year), and we learn continuously from our guests what is best for them and we implement the workable suggestions. Thank you to have brought to my attention that shampoo/soap should be present for the convenience of those who do not want to use their own, without having to ask me.
In renewing the house we are proud to have followed eco-friendly criteria,: we installed a solar panel to heat the water and a combined private sewage made of a imhoff tank and herbal purification with water recycling. The notice in the bathroom says: “whenever possible, please put toilet paper in the bathroom's trash bin”. It is just a kind request of collaboration, you can do it or not. About the bad smell in the toilet, it might happen sometimes. I clean every day putting a fresh detergent in the wc and changing the bathroom trash bin.
In a country-house you might also have some spider webs (with dead insects, among which mosquitos) and flying mosquitos. Even some beautiful gekos could enter your room. For this reason we put mosquito nets in every door and window. The webs form very quickly, and I remove them as fast as I can. Those who are terrified or disgusted by some insects, should not choose a b&b in the country, because I can even clean twice a day, but they will come anyway. It is not a big deal, it is not Australia.
Our walls, like in any house and unlike in a hotel, are not soundproof and you might hear the others living in the house. Every room has a small fridge that, being an electrical device, produces a sound. We have air conditioning and its use is always included in the price. The internal units have a led that shows how it is working. Nobody ever brought to my attention that this led could disturb the sleep.
Your comments about nearby amenities is in my opinion not pertinent. We live in one of the best place in the world, the South Sardinian coast, 500 mt from the sea, and I am very sorry for you if you did not see the beauty of the surrounding nature, not to mention beaches, archeology, historical marks and excellent restaurants in Pula and Nora, 3 km away. I do not spare good advices about amenities, if you are ready to listen.

B&B Fiore is a nice place in a relaxing garden, good rooms, close to nice views, but first of all with a perfect service level of Fiore, the owner of the B&B. Good advice or first or last night when flying to or from Cagliari airport.

Dear G and J,
you were here in May, for 2 days, and I wanna thank you for having taken the time to review B&B Fiore. Yes, the B&B Fiore is good also if you need to stay close to the airport, since we are located only 40 minutes from it. I hope you will have the chance in the future to discover more of south-west Sardinia, one of the best places "in the world", like I use to say, and I really mean it!
Best wishes and arrivederci in Pula, Fiore

Dear Jana (around the world),
we are very happy to have been part of your journey and of your blog http://janaaroundtheworld.blogspot.it/search/label/Sardegna. I hope you keep working on the blog, with great pictures and texts: it shows how you like to travel and discover.
The greatest satisfaction to me is when my guests can get the best out of their (always too short) vacation in south-west Sardinia, exploiting every single day with swimming, snorkeling, boating, eating, sightseeing, hiking, biking, kiting (like Nico!), surfing, windsurfing or just laying on a beach! Thank you for letting others know that we are here to help, and that we are always on your side to choose the best options here around.
Un abbraccio da Pula, from Carlo, me and Viola! Come back soon! Fiore
