Hotel Montreal is a nice 3 star pkace, clean with nice rooms,a good breakfast and very nice staff. We stayed there because of a problem with our original booking in Ragusa and were very glad we did. Not too pricey and psrking available,too..

We staying 3 nights instead og 1 night as original planned.

The reason being that the service was second-to-none so was the kitchen.

The situation is perfect for any sightseeing in the city.

Finally the pricelevel is extremely "fair".

Staff very friendly and very helpful. After arriving at 1130 pm with a very tired toddler we were very pleased to find they had put us in a very spacious room with a cot set up for us. They were very warm people and the hotel itself was clean and had character. This hotel is in Ragusa Superiore which is the new part. The more interesting and picturesque part is Ragusa Ibla which is a 30 minute walk or a short taxi ride. The hotel very close to the main square and tourist information office who were incredibly helpful and I strongly recommend you head there from your first day.

The hotel breakfast which some have described as disappointing I found to be great. If you have a sweet tooth it will be haven for you as they have a wise selection of cakes and biscuits. they also had fruit, muesli, yogurts, bread and cheese. I looked forward to it each morning! A great choice of hotel and would happily stay again!

The staff were all extremely helpful. It has its own car park which is good as it can be tricky in Ragusa. Free internet access was good. Our room was nice and had a shared balcony (not a great view, but can't expect better in the centre of a city). Very close to the tourist information, and it is possible to walk down to Ibla (the old town) from there. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Scacciata which are delicious (similar to calzone but with foccacia instead of pizza dough). The football was on and as the function room was empty, the receptionist put sky sports on there for us (it was also available in the rooms).

The hotel is a mid range business hotel; It is clean, tidy and functional. The staff were all very pleasant and extremely helpful. The restaurant is dire and should be avoided at all costs. The breakfast was Italian minimalistic. The underground carpark was free and a great boon.
The Hotel Montreal is located just off the main street (Corso Italia) in the centre of modern Ragusa, approx 200 metres from the Cathedral. From this location its very easy to get to the main shopping street (Via Roma) and the sights of the new town.
To get to the old Ragusa Albi is not far in distance but is a very exhausting walk, since it is all the way down the steep hill via numerous steps and then back up to the Piazza Duomo. I would suggect taking the car. It is well worth the visit but not for the unfit.

No decent views at all, I had the smallest room at the top of the building, but my friends also had rooms on different floors with no views. My room was tiny, but very clean. Toilet was too small. Breakfast was basically bread and jam, no Internet access. The worsed part was the lack of a night bar. The bar (and the town) closed at midnight. The night staff were very stict about this, and would not even allow our party to gather together for a drink of water and a chat! The food was at best predestrian, at worst it was school dinners, combined with their idea or lack of customer service, I would not recommend a visit to this place. Look else where for the famous Sicilian welcome. Me and my friends found lots of cafe's around Ragusa that more than made up for this terrible hotel, I'm sure you could too. In short look else where.
