We were 2 couples and stayed in the 2 suites, both one bedroomed. The luxury suite has a good terrace with incredible views and good rooms except for the kitchen which is miniscule.
The junior suite has a huge, although rather dated, lounge with connecting doors, if required, through to the luxury suite. One end of the lounge has a curious opaque glazed window through to the part of the house retained by the owner. (Evidently the whole house can be re-connected and opened up for her private use at certain times of year). The bedroom is separated from the lounge by heavy curtains and has floor to ceiling windows with wonderful views down to the coast. The terrace is a good size and gets the sun until mid morning.
The best things about the place are its close proximity to the town, the beautifully landscaped and large communal gardens and the pool. The pool terrace and other garden areas have panoramic views over the coastline.
We had a few problems with drain smells in the bathrooms but a plumber remedied most of the problem once Martina was informed. (She was extremely attentive and helpful). It may well have been a problem in the general area but as we have not stayed there before, it is hard to tell.
Internet was reliable in the dedicated internet area down next to the pool.
We would be happy to return!

Villa Casale is placed on the hillsides of Ravello with breathtaking views to the Mediterranean 500 meters below. The scenery is so stunning that it is reason enough to stay there for a whole week - or maybe more.
When you wake up in the morning, when look out during lunch, when you look at the stars at night. No matter when the ever changing sky, the many shades of blue water and the spectacular coastline will make you muse and forget time.
The place is quiet, it's stylish and though the kitchen is rather small the suite we lived in is a perfect place for a family or a couple.
You can be lazing by the pool while your eye is wandering on the horizon.
Can I suggest any way of improving this place? Yes! Serve breakfast at the rooftop terrace

Room Tip: Be sure you have rooms with a view.

We stayed at Villa Casale recently as we had a wedding in Ravello. We were impressed with the service provided by the hotel owners even before we arrived in Italy - they were very attentive, ensuring that all of our expectations would be met on arrival. The very lovely Martina met us when we arrived in Ravello to escort us to the hotel - that was such a lovely touch as it was late at night, and a couple of hours later than we had planned! From the moment we met her to the moment, Martina was hospitable and extremely accomodating, and made our stay even more relaxed and enjoyable - she even allowed us to use the facilities after checking out, meaning that we felt refreshed ahead of our journey to the airport.
The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful. It was dark when we checked in, (and we were still impressed by the surroundings) but we were completely blown away by the grounds of the hotel and surroudings (especially the view of the sea and mountains) when we woke the following morning. The room was very well presented, well equipped and comfortable, and really felt like a home-from-home. I can only compare it to something you only ever see in a holiday magazine - absolutely stunning and faultless.
The hotel was extremely convenient, and was within walking distance of the main square, shops and bars/restaurants - we would recommend any of the bars/restaurants in the square and on the front (near the bus station).
I would strongly recommend Ravello as a holiday destination, and we would absolutely want to get married there had we not already been married!!! Friends of ours stayed in various lovely hotels in Ravello, and they were all very impressed by Casale, even commenting wished that they had booked that hotel too!

We have had many fabulous holidays, and rate our stay in Ravello as one of the best. We have recommended Villa Casale to family and friends, and can't wait to return ourselves - we won't consider any other hotels in Ravello.

Room Tip: Rooms on the terrace, with a view of the pool and the sea

From our arrival at Villa Casale our hosts were very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble.
We hired a car for the day, which was arranged and delivered to our door by Villa Casale.
Plenty of local restaurants to choose from and savour.
Catching the local bus down to Amalfi is a must do as the ice-cream is amazing.
Experiencing the concert at the Rufolo Gardens in Ravello was wonderful.
Hoping to return very soon.

We have just returned from beautiful Ravello where our daughter got married. We were delighted with the venue for the wedding and also delighted with our choice for accomodation. We had booked 6 of the 9 apartments in Villa Casale for various durations and could not be happier with the location and the quality of the facilities. But above all was the fantastic communication pre and during our stay and the genuine care and service provided. Marissa, Flavia, Paulo and the tireless Martina, all made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lot of time to look around Ravello, and I can honestly say that I do not think there is a better place with a better location with better views than Villa Casale. Thank you all so much Flavia, we will be back without hesitation ! I will post some photos as soon as I have time to download them.

Room Tip: Zagara is the best apartment for accomodation. Wagner has the best views.

I'm sure that somewhere in the world there is a place as picturesque as Ravello but I have certainly never been there. Villa Casale is very close to the centre of town but has stunning views down towards the towns on the Amalfi coast and the mountains and the sea as well as the Ravello town itself. The pool is a good size and although the Villa was full, never crowded. The Zagara apartment itself is very spacious and has all you would need. Bathroom is a bit dated though but that is a minor point.

We were lucky enough to be staying during the Ravello festival held in the nearby Villa Rufulo which means that you get to see and hear the concerts each evening from the comfort of your own terrace. Generally this is great though there was one concert held to coincide with the sunrise which was something of a surprise when it started up at 5am. If you are not a music lover though I would avoid this time of year though.

Villa Casale is set in lovely gardens and the owner was kind enough to give us some of her homegrown tomatoes which were both tasty and huge. A nice touch.

Parking is a problem and so we went for the 15Euros a day valet parking option. The lads who ran that were very good. Always had the car to the meeting point quickly.

Ravello is a small town but there are loads of things to do and see. Villa Rufulo and Villa Cimbrone are both well worth the entrance fee. Villa Cimbrone especially is a gorgeous place to walk around and has views north towards Amalfi whereas most of the town faces south towards Minori and Maiori. There is also a good bus service which gets you down to the towns on the coast for a modest fee. In my opinion you really have not experienced the real Italy until you have had a bus ride down the twisting roads to the coast, though don't do it on a full stomach.

I've seen one review of this place complaining about the internet connection. Leaving aside the question of why you would want to go to Ravello and then spend time on the internet I have to admit to attempting to connect my phone up on one occasion and having no problem at all. To round off a fantastic few days I found out that England had snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the 4th test match and won the Ashes. Life doesn't get any better than that.

Room Tip: I only saw Zagara and would strongly recommend.

Il dolce far niente .... we had heard the expression years ago, but did not experience its meaning until we hit Villa Casale! We left the busyness and jetlag behind in Rome using the 300 km per hr. Frecciarossa train to Naples and then a hired car and driver to Ravello, the vehicles to start our journey into the sweetness of doing nothing. It was our 30th anniversary and there was a cold bottle of champagne waiting for us in the fridge - a very nice touch. The Zagara suite (the Junior seaview suite) is especially lovely and the view from our terrace so spectacular it had us sitting peacefully just marvelling at the beauty of it all. It was the perfect setting to have lunch made from all the local foods and wines. The kitchen is very well equipped with beautiful plates to enhance any meal prepared here.
No, the weather was not great; we saw spectacular thunderstorms and I swam in the pool every morning in the ‘worst May they have seen in 30 years’, but it only makes me wonder, if we loved it so much in these conditions imagine if we luck in next year and experience normal weather!
A huge thank you to Flavia and Martina who made our vacation so special. Whether we were asking Martina to check something on the computer, or where to buy the best cashmere, or how to get to Mamma Agata’s, she was always perfectly helpful and fun!
And a very sincere thank you to Carlo, our driver (Andrea Ruocco car service) who recommended Garden restaurant (the food and view both superb) and vineyard Tenuta San Francesco. We tried 3 of their wines; all delicious.
Can’t wait to go back and this time we will stay longer than 3 days.
