The most beautiful apartment I have stayed in...not just because nearly every window overlooked the mediterranean or the infinity pool was a perfect temperature or the private terrace with BBQ was perfect for a long lunch or dinner...over looking the mediterranean....it was made perfect by the smiling helpful Norma and Franco who made sure everything we needed was available, eg: where to eat, which bus stop, the best sights to visit etc....can't wait to return! Thanks again

During our trip to Italy we spent most of our time in Campania.
We stayed at the Albicocca villa from October 22nd to October 26th.

It was truly perfect !!!

The villa itself is very nice, very nicely furnished and very spacious. The private terrace was simply outstanding with its indescribable view. Every night we had our diner there, it was truly special.

The location of the villa is also ideal; A walk away from the pleasant village of Minori where we were buying all of our food and gelato :).

I also want to point out the kindness of everyone we interacted with before and during our stay.
I was already impressed with the personalized service Vincenzo offered us prior to our arrival and it continued the same way when we were there. Everyone were all very caring and
professional and it was very much appreciated. We were truly feeling like welcomed family members into their home.

I was organizing this trip for my parents and myself and our stay at the Albicocca villa contributed a lot into building unforgettable memories.

I can honestly tell that this villa is the BEST place I even stayed during any vacation I had and that I will definitely be back.

The location is fantastic - a short walk to Minori town which has regular buses to Amalfi/Ravello. Albicocca villa: the apartment is stunning with a bright, airy front room with balconies on three side, each with a fabulous view of the Mediterranean. The infinity pool, with its panoramic view of the sea, is located 2 terraces levels up from the villa. The garden is fantastic. the service from Vincenzo, Norma, and Franco as been fantastic.

We are so happy that a friend recommended Albicocca (Peach) villa. It was the best accommodations we had in our month-long trip to Italy. The apartment is stunning with a bright, airy front room with balconies on three side, each with a fabulous view of the Mediterranean. The room cozy seating and a dining table. There were fresh flowers on the table to greet us on our arrival. The two spacious bedrooms have a shared balcony that leads to the private, very large terrace that overlooks the sea. The kitchen is well appointed with a cook top, oven, microwave & good sized dishwasher. One of the bathrooms has a spa shower although getting the temperature right can be a bit tricky. The infinity pool, with its panoramic view of the sea, was reasonable warm & is located 2 terraces levels up from the villa. The villa is well located, with Minori only a short walk away with about 600 m along the shoulder of the fairly narrow road which makes it interesting on your first trip to town. As well the SITA (public) bus will pick up/drop off passengers at the front of the villa, making it very convenient. Staff member Franco was present everyday with good advice on restaurants in town & other activities. He was very helpful and gave us some of the vegetables & herbs grown on the terraces surrounding the villa. We would especially like to thank Vincenzo in the office for his assistance: one of our group accidentally left a souvenir behind. He has now sent the souvenir to the home address in Canada at no charge! Definitely great service that shows care and consideration for guests.

We stayed in the Il Nido apartment for a long weekend in September. The location is fantastic - a short walk to Minori town which has regular buses to Amalfi/Ravello & boats to Capri. The views from the apartment were stunning and we really enjoyed the lemon tree that grows over the private terrace.

The hotel staff, Franco & Norma, were extremely helpful - especially when we were running late for the taxi Franco had ordered for us - he kindly offered to push it back 20 minutes to allow us more time.

Perfect stay for a perfect trip.

We chose to stay at il nido based on other trip advisor reviews and we have been overwhelmed by the apartment, the infinity pool and the location. To be able to sit at the dining room table and to open the doors to an uninterrupted view of the Mediterranean is breath taking. The apartment functions really well and the service from Vincenzo and Franco as been fantastic.

We recently returned from a magnificent 4 night stay in the Albicocca Villa. I had a lot of questions throughout the booking process and even while we were there and Vincenzo was always there to help and always returned my emails promptly. I thought I would write a review to highlight how amazing our experience was and also to clarify questions that most people are wondering about before their trip.

1.) Location: We took the high speed train from Florence to Salerno and it took 40 minutes to get there by taxi. The address for the Albicocca villa is Via Marmorata, 15 in Ravello. However, when we arrived at the Salerno train station our cab driver had no idea where that was and we had to put him on the phone with Vincenzo to explain. If you have the same issue, just tell your cab driver that once you go through Minori you stay on the main road and it's up ahead on the right (top of the hill once you are out of Minori). The villa is more so in Minori than in Ravello, to get to Ravello you definitely need to take a cab or bus or you can climb 2,000 steps to the top of the mountain. Also, to get to the town of Minori it's about a 10 minute walk from the villa. Very convenient but there are a lot of steps and it's very tiresome on the way back, but also great exercise.

2.) The villa: The villa comes equipped with everything you'll need. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable. It had bath/beach/kitchen towels, washer and dryer, a really good hair dryer, complimentary wireless internet, a nice private patio and gas grill, full kitchen (stove, microwave, large fridge, dishwasher), and the infinity pool is located right upstairs. The only issue we experienced was the shower had limited hot water, but the weather was in the 90s while we were there so it wasn't a big deal and pretty typical for Italy. We noticed there were gardens everywhere on the way to the pool and Franco let us pick our own eggplants and spices to make dinner with which was really cool.

3.) Getting around: The bus picks up right in front of the villa and most small shops in Minori sell the passes. The bus schedule is on the amalfi vacation website. You have to buy your pass before you get on the bus. We bought the passes but missed the bus one day and ended up taking cabs to downtown Amalfi. Cabs were expensive but more convenient for us than the crowded buses. There is a cab stand in Minori (right in front of the church) and you have to use your phone to call a cab company. They rarely wait there for customers.

4.) Minori: We loved Minori. It's a super cute small town with very few tourists which we liked. We had dinner at Giardinello (loved it, but expensive) and also at Osteria il Pontile. Osteria il Pontile is known for seafood and while I loved my meal (I had the fettucini with lobster and the steak florentine) a few others did not. The service was also painfully slow there but the people were nice. Another highlight was the limoncello factory located behind the basilica in town. We went in for a free tasting and bought a few bottles of delicious creamy limoncello. There's a grocery store in town, a pharmacy, a famous bakery, and a lot of cafes. There is no shopping though, there is better shopping in Amalfi and Positano.

5.) Excursions: We took advantage of the passes for 30 euros to the Hotel Santa Caterina and LOVED it. The hotel is incredible and worth every penny for a day trip. You have to make a reservation with Vincenzo or Franco before you go and when you arrive at the hotel they have beach chairs reserved for you at the pool and you can charge everything to an account and pay when you leave. We took a cab there but you can also take the bus to Amalfi and then take the Hotel's complimentary shuttle that departs every half hour from the cab stand. Vincenzo also set us up with a boat rental that was very reasonably priced when compared to other boat companies in the area. The price included the driver and gas and he picked us up right at the Minori dock (it's the only dock in Minori). We had the boat for 8 hours and he took us to the grottos, Capri, and Positano. We wanted to go to Sorrento but it was very far away and we wouldn't have had time to see anything else. The driver had an ice box on the boat but it had no ice in it, so if you plan on bringing food or drinks be prepared for them to be warm. The driver will go anywhere you want so when you are hungry for lunch he will stop. He didn't speak very good English though, and he was 15 minutes late.

My only other suggestion for Amalfi Vacation is it would be helpful to have a concierge desk at the villas from 9am-12pm. Franco and Vincenzo frequently stopped by but it would be even better to know they are there during certain hours. We had a lot of questions and it cost us money to call them on our cell phones.

If I could do it all over again I would have spent more time in Positano (go out for dinner there) and also made the trek up to Ravello. But with only 4 nights there we just couldn't fit it all in. If there is a next time, we will do all of that and would definitely choose a Paglarulo Apartment again for sure!
