This hotel provided us with the most expensive and worst meal we had during 10 days in Naples and the Amalfi area. B ut I give it2 stars because of the stupendous view. We weren't staying there so cannot comment further.

This is a lovely hotel with a wonderful view. We watched the amazing fireworks for the festival from our terrace table.
Service was mediocre and food selections were boring. The food was average and not exceptional.

Our dinner here was excellent, and was the best of the 3 we had in Ravello proper. The hotel is elegant, and the view from the restaurant, stunning. We were able to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view. The staff's English wasn't quite as good as we'd gotten used to in Italy, and so we struggled a bit making them understand that we wanted to share everything and the sequence of the dishes, but all ended up fine. We shared a ravioli with mint, then a smoked sea bass with citrus, and finally a tempura shrimp and calamari dish. We had room for the local lemon custard dish, were surprised when it came as a molten chocolate cake, but we came to understand that this was how it was supposed to be. Everything was delicious and lovely.

A group of 3 we shared dinner in Confalone. The restaurant is situated within a palazzo with breathtaking views of the coast. The food was good, very warm and attentive service, felt like a family run restaurant. Extensive wine list for all tastes and budgets, we went for a couple of Barolos that were decently priced. Food was good, we shared the insalata di mare, beef carpaccio, pasta, ravioli and the fillets. Overall it is a good combination of food, wine, setting, service, price and atmosphere. I would definitely visit again. Top notch service!!!

Amazing beef carpaccio to start, wonderful tempura fish for main, delightful staff, thrilling view, huge rooms to walk through to get to the terrace (imagine it in its hay day, must have been a nobleman's palace) and a big, school of Caravaggio painting
