I only gave 4-5 stars for the reason of its distinct presence.
While I am amazed at its location, the views it provides visitors and attendees of performances, the unique architecture, and an attempt to be seamless within and against the backdrop of the hillside and smallish communities surrounding, it is not so seamless -- and less so from the sea.
I felt that the structure speaks more loudly than it should for its environment and even more so to look upon the hillside from the sea -- it is too clearly visible and a bit out of place -- too modern to inhabit a place where people have for centuries carved the hillside for housing and gardens while preserving the natural beauty.
However, it does provide a good host for the arts.
