We stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Marmorata this September. The hotel was fantastic, great staff, location, amazing views. The only thing that could be improved was the size of the shower stall in the room, was the same size as on you would find on a cruise ship. The breakfast was very good with hot and cold items to choose from. The view from the dining areas was the icing on the cake. In North America Best Western has been an average hotel chain, In Europe you will be pleasantly surprised as they have nicely appointed rooms with service to match. Will definitely stay at this property if I make a return visit to the Amalfi Coast.

My husband and I have just returned from a trip of a lifetime that came to a close in Ravello. I cannot image a more beautiful and dream like setting at a reasonable price. Hotel Marmorata although not actually in Ravello proper it is situated on the water a mere 10 minute taxi or bus ride from Ravello. The rooms are lovely, clean, comfortable and relaxing. All rooms above the 2nd floor have breathtaking views. We upgraded from the 2nd floor as my husband said, "Why come all this way to find oneself in the basement?"
The restaurant is outstanding serving both regional and a traditional Italian dishes. Breakfast, which is included with your stay, is quite yummy and satisfying-- order a fresh cappuccino and pass on the self-serve coffee machine.
Every member of the staff is kind, friendly and helpful.
I nearly forgot to mention, there is a pool and direct easy access into the Mediterranean for a wonderful swim!
I hope to return to Hotel Marmorata again in my lifetime.

Room Tip: Be sure to reserve a room on the 3rd or 4th floor. You will be very disappointed on the 2nd floor.

I usually do not particularly like Best Western Hotels because they are often average and they have no concept. But this time we were nicely surprised. Beautiful hotel directly at the sea with private beach. Beautiful terrace to have dinner. The breakfast buffet was just average because just standard and no local products and soluble coffee instead of tasty Italian coffee.

Me and my partner looked for a place with beach, pool and a view in the Amalfi coast, 4 nights in September 2013. We booked the Ravello Marmorata and we were both truly VERY happy with the choice we made. I’m not familiar with all the “best western” hotels in the world…but this place is not like the BW hotels I’ve been to in the US (during some business trips).

PRO’s:
-Very enjoyable private access to the sea. That was the highlight of the stay I think.
-We got an upgrade of the room to sea view and that was a very warm welcome gift.
-Facilities well-kept and pleasant environment in the hotel (interior and exterior).
-Friendly stuff and high class service.
-We also liked the location – 10 min walk to Minori (we dined there one night), short drive to amazing Ravello and Amalfi (there are shuttles to Amalfi a few times a day) but also off and away the noisy townships and beaches so you can really get some rest and peace while staying at the hotel. There’s a real serenity.

Con’s (I have to write something  )
-Breakfast selection was the same every day during the 4 morning we ate there. Some varaiety would be appreciated.
-Pool is small (but anyway who wants to get to the pool when there’s such a beautiful beach down stairs…!)
-Don’t look for the gym. You’ll get disappointed.

One more thing: We dined in the hotel’s restaurant on the day of arrival to the hotel and it was one of the best meals we ate during our stay in the Amalfi coast. Regardless of where you decide to stay, you should consider eating here dinner or Sunday lunch.

We had a really wonderful stay here. The location is stunning, the staff are lovely and very friendly and the food in the restaurant is really excellent. The room we stayed in was pretty basic but the shower was good enough and the housekeeping was brilliant- fresh towels, sheets and cleaning all the time.

The breakfast was lovely- something for everybody- fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, ham, cereal, toast, tea coffee and juices.

The restaurant has a beautiful view over the bay and is very romantic. They have a couple of new dishes on the menu everyday- we ate there 4 days out of the 7! it was very good.

I think it is imperative that you have a car if you stay here as there isn't that much around within easy walking distance.

Over all a really relaxing and lovely stay - We would definitely come back.

Room Tip: I would opt for a room with a sea view

After seeing photos of this place, I knew I had to stay here. It's not cheap, but worth EVERY penny we spent. We opted for an ocean view with a balcony (Room 211) which was an upgrade, but it's what MADE the experience. We had a small balcony which overlooked the Mediterranean. Stunning! You come here to relax, so if you don't relax at the hotel, you miss the point. We had dinner the first night at the hotel and really enjoyed everything we ate. I especially loved my Limoncello mixed drink (can't remember the name, but it's first on their drink list, order it!). I spent hours relaxing on their floaty rafts in the sea and forgot about every care in the world. We went up to Ravello for a half day, too, which was spectacular. We knew we didn't want to spend much time in Positano or Amalfi (as they are crowded and touristy) so Ravello was perfect. Plenty to do as there were some tourists and fabulous pottery shops and restaurants. Know that the hotel is not in the city limits of Ravello (which is at the top of the hill) but down on the water. This is why we booked this hotel...the sea!! Breakfast was also plentiful and tasty. The hotel has a free shuttle to Amalfi and back once per day. Once in Amalfi, you catch the bus to Ravello. OR, get in the SITA bus towards Amalfi and get off at the Ravello stop. Wait there for the next bus to go up to the top of the hill to Ravello. The hotel had some bus tickets for us to buy. Easy. Now...be warned: if you have not driven on the famous Amalfi coast drive, be warned...it is frightening!!! All of our bus drivers were talking on their cells (which is illegal in Italy) and it was scary. But, we survived :)

The location is a littleout of Minori on one of the worst stretches of highway you will ever find. You can't see the hotel from the narrow windy road and could easily miss the entrance.
Parking is an experience best dealt with by the hotel service. Be very careful on exit.
The service was extremely good and we had wished to have booked to stay in the hotel itself, which was smart and classy.
Not a typical Best Western - A cut above everything else on this area of the Italian coast.
The food selection was excellent, the wines were excellent - try the local white, Furore.
The Ravioli was very good.
The Bianco di Pollo really waswhite chicken - taste, don't look.

We liked it so much that we came back a few days later and loved it even more the second time.

I'm glad you've found our hotel so comfortable to decide to return after just a few days.
It is true the road from us is a bit complicated, but that's part of the magic of the Amalfi Coast.

Best Regards
