Our family (7 people, ages 11-78) recently stayed at the Hotel Marmorata and all of us found it to be a highlight of our trip to Italy. The views were beautiful, the kids loved swimming in the pool and the sea and the service was great. I'd like to especially acknowledge Paola, who emailed with me prior to our trip and helped arrange for our family to charter a boat for a day. She was a tremendous help. We are sure to return again someday!

Dear Lisa A,
Be a highlight in a trip to Italy, with all the wonders that our country has to offer, fills us with pride! Our team has clearly established a fellowship in years of working together and true culture to meet the needs of our guest. I will share the front office with his thanks and his enthusiasm. We hope to see you again soon with all his beautiful family!

My wife and I stayed for three nights in July (28-30t). We absolutely loved the location. It was both beautiful and serene.

When we arrived, our bags were taken straight to our rooms (thank you Carlo!). The restaurant was great, with tremendous service and food. We loved how nice the young woman was at the bar :) she got my wife and I dessert even after the kitchen was closed, as well as a history lesson after my wife ordered a Bellini! We also loved the life guard, Raeffella! He was very friendly and also provided tremendous service. Overall a great experience!

Dear Bicpgram
I m agree with pleasure his beautiful words with our staff and the people they wanted to remember with so much sweetness. I'm fascinated by how many times he used the verb "to love" in speaking to us. I like to think that our little hut is really a place where you can leave love without really thinking about anything else. This warms my heart. What we wrote is valuable for our work and also for the sincere love we put into what we do. Hope to see you again

My husband and I spent 5 nights recently at Hotel Marmorata as part of our 20th wedding anniversary trip. Due to a booking error on my part, which was kindly fixed as best as possible by the friendly hotel staff, we ended up with a standard room with sea view rather than the superior room that we had originally wished. In any case, the room turned out to be so charming and spotlessly clean on top of having a great view, that it did not diminish our enjoyment of the Amalfi Coast one bit! We drove to the hotel from Naples and did not have trouble finding the hotel at all, as the hotel has two entrances, clearly marked by big blue signs. One obvious landmark close to the hotel is the pizzeria Il Boscheto, which is more or less on the other side of the road and can be easily seen on route to or from Amalfi.
As other reviewers mentioned, the hotel is beautifully situated, in a cove with relatively calm waters even on a windy day. You enter a gorgeous bougainvillea paradise as you go down the steep driveway to the hotel. High heels are not recommended! The hotel is meticulously decorated in a maritime theme right down to the embroidered sailboats on the breakfast linen. It's a reflection of the careful attention to details by the management and staff. The staff is thoroughly helpful and friendly in every way. They booked all our restaurants, trips, and concerts for us promptly.
Breakfast is bountiful, as mentioned by previously mentioned. Be sure to try the fresh homemade cakes, that change each morning. They are absolutely delectable! Sunshine seems to fill the breakfast room even on overcast days. It's great fun, watching the boats and yachts go by. Dinner is served on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the bay. The menu has something to fit every taste. We had dinner there twice and the menu appeared completely different the second time around. Everything was well executed. Our sommelier, as wise old fox, had great suggestions for local wines.
The only wish I would have is the banning of smoking on the terrace near the hotel entrance. It would be nice to sit there to enjoy the view and read a book without someone puffing a smelly cigarette or cigar nearby. That's a minor detail, though, which does not warrant diminishing my highest rating and recommendation for the Hotel Marmorata.
Tip: Be sure to book tickets for concerts at the Ravello Festival. The price (EUR 35 for top seats) is unbeatable to see top-rated performers in a spectacular setting overlooking the coast. Also, the 27th of July is the festival of Ravello's patron saint. In the evening, there's a beautiful religious procession ending with impressive fireworks.

Room Tip: Book a room with sea view. It's well worth it.

Dear, CtB66
Delicate strokes and effective to paint a picture that we love. Thank you for the wonderful words. Solve small problems and understandable reservation for us is simply a pleasure. In Italy you can not ban smoking in open spaces. But the hotel, as he saw, offers many beautiful spaces where you can find your own corner happy. We hope to see you several times before to celebrate together the 30th, the 40th, the 50th anniversary of your marriage .......!

We were there two years ago with our two teenaged children and we all loved it. The setting is on different levels of cliffs so you do a lot of walking up and down to various parts of the hotel but this adds to its natural charm of its perch on the cliffs. The pool and sunning decks overlook the sea and you can watch the yachts go by. We would take our wine, cheese and salami we bought in Ravello and have our Pre dinner appetizer on one of the upper decks. All staff was friendly and accommodating and we found all 3 meals we had simply delicious. The whole cozy atmosphere seemed to turn all the guests very sociable so we met some terrific people. You can cross the street and walk up a ton of steps to Ravello or we took the car and parked in the lot and enjoyed our stay there. Ravello has so much to offer but our treasured buy was ceramic dinner ware we had shipped home. Everyday we get to remember our stay when we use that dinnerware! We would all go back on a return trip. TIP: it's a little hard to find so get EXPLICIT directions

Room Tip: Go for a waterfront room

We knew the views from this hotel were wonderful. We had a great time relaxing near the pool and enjoying the private cove. We visited at the end of a month long trip and this was a perfect place to relax before heading home.
Although the views were great we were most impressed by the buffet breakfast. It included meats, cheeses, cereals, fruits, assorted juices, eggs, breads, etc. I would have paid $100/person for such a great breakfast.
Also, the service was wonderful. The staff was very helpful, kind and spoke english.

Key tips:
- drive to the hotel from Sorrento, it is much easier to get there
- the hotel is a short drive from Amalfi, go park at Amalfi and spend a day there
- if you plan to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant, make sure to make your reservation early (3pm)

Room Tip: Most rooms have a sea view but the triple rooms are guaranteed to have a great view.

I was a bit skeptical about staying here at first, since it was a Best Western. However, it was a perfectly charming, impeccable renovated and decorated hotel. We listened to the sea and a waterfall from our hotel room. The private cove in the Mediterranean was just heavenly. (The staff looked the other way and let us swim to the next town over.) All of the details are original, stone driveways, overhead bouganvillea, etc.
Did I mention that they have free parking!!!!!!
The staff was very helpful.
The customer service at the restaurant was fabulous as was my seafood bouilabaisse.
We plan to return to this hotel again.

Do note that the hotel is in Marmorata on the sea. It is about a 7 minute walk from Minori and you can also walk to Amalfi. We walked to Ravello via ancient Roman walkways up the mountain every day and loved exploring.

Room Tip: Request a seaside view.
