The Graal Hotel is really good. Its location is perfect because it is really close to the center of the town (Piazza Il Duomo) and it has an amazing view over the coast of Amalfi). We stayed six nights in the junior suite room to celebrate our honey moon. All the rooms have an incredible view from the balcony, you can enjoy the beauty of the Amalfi coast, and the towns of Minori and Maiori.

The hotel is rally clean, any issue that you have with your room is taken care of quickly, it has spots where you can connect to the internet for free and at the reception, they provide the guests with a laptop. Your room is always clean and they come to fix it twice a day. There is a pool with a great view and you can buy drinks at the pool bar. It is a real treat to have a pool in your hotel because not too many hotels in Ravello have one.

The hotel have an excellent restaurant (Al Ristoro del Moro) with a very good chef. The food is delicious and most of the ingredients are from the hotel's garden. The breakfast is excellent too. All the jams and pastries are made by one of the chef at the hotel and you can enjoy the sunrise over the Amalfi coast while you eat. We found all the staff really friendly specially the waiters are the breakfast room and the guy at the reception during the night shift. Not so much the ladies at the reception in the morning shift.

Overall, we had a great time and we would recommend this hotel to anyone who is up for an experience of a life time. The only issue we had was that since you don't pay at the pool bar (the drinks are charged to your room number) there was a mistake and some drinks were charged to our room. The ladies are the reception were upset by this and did not even say bye to us after spending six nights there.

Room Tip: You might think the hotel is expensive but its location and views are priceless.

The hotel location is beautiful and the staff are nice enough but the rooms at this hotel are gloomy, shabby and very noisy. We were disappointed with our room, particularly the bathroom that looked like something out of an old fashioned asylum. There was a very strong and unpleasant odor emanating from the toilet and sink. Yikes. The biggest problem with the room aside from the depressing decor was the noise. It was like paper walls! We could hear every word of the conversations in the hallway and next door. We complained and the staff tried to be helpful by offering us a room that was quieter (supposedly) but was even uglier than the first room - it looked like a hostel room. I suppose if this were advertised as a hostel or discount hotel with amazing views that would be fine but it is supposed to be 4 stars. The views, the breakfast and the pool almost compensated for the bad room - but not quite. We would not go back.

We stayed at this family run hotel to attend a family wedding in the town of Ravello. On arrival we were taken to a room below reception level which although had sea views, was very dark and had a balcony totally covered in foliage. We asked for a room with an unobstructed view and were given a room with the most amazing views almost straight away! The staff at this hotel are exceptionally helpful, polite and friendly. They took time to ask us how our visit was going and if we had enjoyed the wedding ! The swimming pool has tremendous views of the bay. My husband used the pool every morning before breakfast. We ate lunch most days at the poolside bar which was good. If you like a quiet place to stay, this hotel has it all. Fabulous food in the hotel's main restaurant which overlooks the sea with attentive waiting on staff. The hotel is only 1 minute away from the main taxi rank and 2 minutes from the main square of Ravello. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel for a gorgeous, peaceful holiday. We can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on reception level as this is on a higher floor

Breath-taking sea view of Ravello from rooms, ie blue skies, pink and lavender sunsets and the sparkling sea. Heart-warming service from staff. Breakfast was simple goodness, and we appreciated the effort to include local produce ie. fresh tomatoes from Naples, and even home made apple lavender jam by the pastry chef. We would definitely love to head back!!

Have just returned from a four night stay in this hotel with a fabulous view of the coast. Ravello is definately the place to stay on the Amalfi coast, an oasis of calm and tranquility, unlike Amalfi which is swamped daily with bus loads of tourists from Sorrento and the surrounding areas. The family who run their hotel and the staff who work for them are all polite and extremely helpful. Yes the hotel could do with a lick of paint in some places, however it is spotlessly clean, has a fantastic swimming pool and views from all of the hotel balconies to die for. Breakfast is a buffet affair and is excellent and the hotel restaurant is reasonably priced and the food of top quality. No wonder the visitors book has comments from customers who have been coming to it every year for the last 20 years, it really is that good. Ravello itself is fabulous, the square is busy and has great bars and restaurants just to sit in and people watch. We tried four restaurants whilst we were there, the hotel which I have already mentioned, Vittoria just off the square and Villa Amore and Villa Maria. The latter two have views to die for, Amore is reasonably cheap and simple, difficult to fine but worth the walk, Villa Maria is close by to Clla Amore but higher prices, however service is impeccable and ambience fantastic. Both of these restaurants can be found on the walk from the square towards the Cimbrone gardens. The Ravello festival is another must do, runs from end of June to 1st september and is set in the grounds of Villa Rufulo, the gardens of which are simply stunning, with a stage built out over the rock. An evening performance here is a must do , 30 euros a head well spent. You'll have a great trip here, enjoy!!

Room Tip: All of the rooms face the view and the sea, you cant go wrong

Really nice quiet hotel with stunning views from the rooms, a lovely pool and very close to the centre of Ravello. We had two standard rooms, which were very comfortable, with terrace, good a/c, Sky TV, and connecting doors between our room and the kids'. We booked direct from the hotel website which was much cheaper than doing it through Thomson, but make sure you clarify whether "City tax" is or isn't included. One minor quibble would be with the breakfast: the fruit was generally awful, squash instead of fruit juice, and processed meat/cheese. Nice pastries though!

Hotel Graal was a pleasant surprise. Ravello is beautiful and the views from this hotel are the best. This hotel had great service (which had been hard to come by in Italy) and an amazing pool. I wish we could have stayed here longer, but a booking error shortened our stay. We actually never left the hotel as their restaurant and pool were so relaxing. After a busy trip in Capri and Naples, this was just what we were looking for. Make sure to say hi to Dziorka, their mascot yellow lab. The only negative was that they could use a fresh coat of paint on the outside and a sign on the door so you know you made it there!
