We have just spent a wonderful week at Villa San Michele. Unbelievably beautiful setting with incredible views and a lovely hotel. Warm and friendly owners, first class cuisine every evening, tranquil gardens filled with beautiful flora and aromatic scent of lemon trees.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful with balconies overlooking the Amalfi bay.

Four of us enjoyed a week here, in beautiful weather, in mid-September. The highlights for us were the food, which is Italian home cooking at its best, and the sea swimming: at the bottom of the cliff on which the hotel is built is a platform which allows you to swim directly into the sea. The owners and staff are friendly and accommodating, and the location perfect for visiting Ravello and other towns on the Amalfi coast. The hotel can organise visits to sites such as Pompeii and Herculaneum, or you can relax in a lovely garden or one of the other quiet areas around the hotel. We will be back.

This was our first stay in this hotel which was recommended to us by a frequent guest and friend of ours. We were not disappointed. Everything about our week here was absolutely the best! All staff were super friendly and accommodating and made an extra effort to see that we were comfortable. The food and service was way above average. We made good friends here are will be back next year.

This gorgeous small hotel [12 rooms] cascades down the cliff to the water from the Amalfi highway. If you plan to stay, be sure you are in good health as it is 241 steps from the road down to the swim platform. Each step leads to beautiful vistas of the coast and the water. [It's only 120 steps down to the rooms and the dining room.] Half board gets you a continental breakfast and lovely dinners and the views from the dining room are to die for. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. Emiliano runs the front office, the owner Nicola runs the dining room and his wife the kitchen. It's a short walk into Atrani and then Amalfi from here.

This was our third stay in the hotel and it is as wonderful as ever. The dinners which are included in the price are amazing. The family of Nicola and Emiliano could not be more welcoming and each room looks over the ocean. Be prepared for a lot of steps, which is a great way to keep down the weight while enjoying every meal!!
