I stayed at Bonadies for a week, I really enjoyed it. Staff welcoming and friendly. My room (number 9) nicely decorated, always clean and with all necessary amenities.

Breakfast, served in the dining room, pretty good, a little bit more fresh fruit would not hurt though. The waitress lorena, always friendly and smiling.

The restaurant is very nice and the waiters Andrea, Raffaele and Tiziano, very polite and professional, always ready to meet our demands. We eats very well and the terrace has a spectacular view. Food Gorgeous

The hotel also has two swimming pools and a beautiful "solarium". I spent some afternoons relaxing with my wife, amazing.

The hotel is in the central area and the historic center is very near, just a nice 5min walk. Amalfi and the coast are easily reached by bus. The receptionist (vincenzo and martina) really very friendly. they have always advised us to do the best during our vacation.

The hotel has wifi in public areas and not in the rooms. It is fine, it's free.

This hotel is family run. The family is very kind and welcomes all customers with pleasure at his home.

We will be back soon, and will recommend it to our friends.

The person who gave this very mediocre hotel a 4 star rating is off the mark. A 4 star rating is for all the room types. The room we received was a Motel 6 minus.

The abusive staff has no interest in being helpful. It seems they know that most tourist will probably not pass by Revello again.

A four star hotel with no outlets for a phone? I had to move the bed to plug in my laptop and phone.

A four star hotel with no wifi in the room? Where they do have it , dinning room, has very weak service.

A four star hotel that supplies just two towels? And towels that are as thin as dishwashing cloths? Completely worn out.

A four star hotel with no way to call the front desk? i tried using the phone and dialing zero but that didn't get me anywhere. There was no usual instruction sheet anywhere in the room.

We registered at the counter and were given a key to a "room with a king size bed". It was only after we went to bed that we realized that it was actually two normal sized beds with a tight sheet across them. We were too tired to complain and we planned to leave early next morning anyway.

The breakfast was crappy. Leftovers form the previous days. Even the coffee was gas station quality.

The actual structure of the hotel is magnificent. The view unparalleled.

But to pay 150 Euros for this rundown and unfriendly place is ridicules.

I hope the owner of this hotel sells out and transfers this potential gem to someone that wants to operate a fine hotel. Not a cheap B&B.

I stayed at this family run hotel for a week. service excellent, staff very friendly and professional. our room (numer 7) had a spectacular view of the sea. the room and the hotel are very stylish. breakfast very good. the pool is not great, but good for relaxing. We also dined at the restaurant while enjoying delicious dishes and local wine. It was my first experience here and I think I will be back soon. Thanks a lot to the bonadies family for a lovely experience!!! Grazi Mille

Firstly, this hotel has the best views on the Amalfi Coast. Perched on top of a hill, in Ravello this family run hotel offers Italian hospitality at it's finest. We had a sea-facing bedroom suite, clean and very spacious. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are made up twice a day! Breakfast was good and the restaurant was excellent serving authentic local dishes. Wifi is good in the communal areas and the pool is a great way to relax after a long day travelling up and down to Amalfi.
I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit!

We stayed here as a couple, and used it for a conference. The setting and the views alone, make it worthwhile, then add the wonderful, warm, and friendly people, delicious food, and the easy walking distance to the center of Ravello, and I'd stay forever. This is the only place I want to stay when we visit Ravello.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the water.

We just returned from an amazing stay in Hotel Bonadies. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and we were delighted to be upgraded upon arrival. Our room was lovely with an amazing view of the coast from the terrace. It was clean and spacious and we were thrilled with the turn down service at night. It really is such a calm and relaxing hotel. The pool area is perfect for chilling out and the water is very clean and refreshing. Towels for the pool are also provided. Breakfast is standard Italian buffet with choice of tea or coffee. We ate in the hotel one night and really enjoyed our meal. There is wifi in the public areas of the hotel and the owners' dogs are adorable! The hotel is in a great location, only a five minute walk to the square. We walked down to Minori one of the days and enjoyed a lovely afternoon on the beach. Only €10 for two beds and an umbrella. The water was amazing but beware of the jellyfish! It is about a 60 minute walk down and back. Tougher on the legs coming back! Our favourite meals of the holiday were in Villa Maria and the restaurant in Hotel Parsifal which is right beside Bonadies, out the front door and on the left. We also loved having having drinks and snacks in Caffe Calce in the square. The staff there are also very friendly and professional. Villa Cimbrone and the Rufolo Gardens are well worth visiting. We loved Ravello and Hotel Bonadies and will be back to stay there next year for our wedding.

Room Tip: Room 14 is lovely. Good size with a terrace and sea view.

We stayed 10 days at this old family run hotel built inside an 11 century monastery......the views are stunning and the room and cleanliness were brilliant but....................altho most of the staff were very friendly, the breakfast team were not.........breakfast was the poorest we have ever had and it really seemed that they put out whatever scraps they had........as the hotel was quite full the breakfast scraps were soon consumed and were hesitantly topped up......the other hald said it felt like we were back in the war years.

As there is no air con. we had to have the windows open......gosh iot was like a race track outside with noisy scooters all night unril 6 am.

All in.................fab. views, wonderful location...( we walked down the 3,000 steps to Amalfi every morning....2 hours there, 2 hours back and worth every step).....but 2 nights with those breakfasts would have been enough.
They need to correct that side.

Dear Andy
thanks for taking the time to review our property. We do apologize for the poor breakfast experience you had during your stay. Our Family, as owner of Hotel Bonadies, try to anticipate clients needs, unfortunately some of our past staff didn't as you experienced and this force us to made a big change: all in all seems that 2014 guests are now enjoying a more friendly breakfast time, also with a faster service in replacing the buffet, so I hope you will be able to visit us again and experience this change. With regard of AC, being a old and protected building, we unfortunately can not make so many changes and some of the rooms must remain, hope not for longer anyway, without AC. I do suggest then, when you will place your booking, to remind us with this issue and we will do our best to give you a fresher or AC room for your stay.
Looking forward hearing from you back, please claim your repeater discount just mentioning that you posted a review on TA
