We were staying at the Brione Hotel and it is not a long walk from there to the start of the climb. We took the route from the peripheral road which runs round its base. It was steps all the way and for my wife who had recently had a hip replacement it was quite tiring and we were very concerned about the descent as some of the steps are quite high. The views are splendid however. Eventually we got to the top to discover the proximity of a "proper" road and rather than returning by the steps took the road back down - some lovely houses to admire. The views from the top on a clear day (such as we had) are well worth making the effort for. But be prepared to take your time.

Thank David K

I ran up here a couple of times (both early morning when slightly cooler). There are a variety of ways to reach the summits. One is primarily by road/Tarmac with a gravel path finish, whilst the other way is via a wooded path/trail with some steps built in. The views along the latter are outstanding. I would recommend this route up,although it is advisable to have decent footwear & a bottle of water to hand!

Would recommend you did this early in the morning when cool. Took 2.5/3 hours. Take plenty of water. Can do in flip flops, but better not to!!

Tough old walk and excellent views when you get to the top, must be 300 steps and wonderful view from the top, takes a couple of hours but well worth it.
