We took a super long weekend break (5 nights) here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect by the lake and a very short stroll into the town centre. The rooms were quiet and peaceful. The bed was lovely and comfortable (if firm - typical in Italy). The service from front desk, waiters, bar staff was all excellent. Friendly yet classy. The food in the restaurant was lovely in the evening whilst the breakfast spread was wide. Overall this was a lovely relaxing break at an exclusive feeling hotel. The only slight design point I was unsure of was the hard floors in the bedroom, but otherwise everything was fabulous.

Good evening Mr Stuart W and thank you for having chosen the Lido Palace in Riva del Garda for your long week end.
We are happy you have enjoyed our services and especially the food of our Re della Busa Restaurant. We are at present developing the new menù mainly because of the season nature product and the Easter festivity (for example asparagus and lamb). With our Executive Chef we are very attentive to propose the best of the period. As far as the hard floors of the bedroom is concerned I may agree with you. The level of appreciation of the parquet floor all around the bed and resin floor in the remain space of the room may be very subjective. In fact the Architect has created a sort of a wow effect once the Custmer enter in our Lido Palace without spoiling the richness of the historical heritage.
I look forward to welcoming you again at the Lido Palace
Best regards

Good afternoon Dear Lennie-du-soleil and thank you for the time spent to describe our destination.
Let me take this opportunity also to point out that this area has been nominated, last december, "the best place to live" in Italy in terms of life quality.
The architect made the rest, combining in a great way the historical heritage of the assett with a modern concept and design.
I really look forward to welcoming you again at the Lido Palace in riva del Garda

First of all, the location is fantastic. Second the style, the consequent new design together with the architecture of an old palace. It is more or less a matter of taste. The atmosphere at the entrance and at the reception is maybe to cold. The same for the rooms with the concrete floor. The wellness area is overwhelming. The staff and management is very friendly and helpfull. Parking is free and easy. Breakfast buffet is of good quality. The beds have fine linens and the selection of electric buttons for the light and clima are easy to use. We stayed in room nr. 311. I think, I could count seven windows on different sides. Room service in the evening at half past nine was too late. The view to the congress center is not the best. With two elevators and a nice staircase, you never have to wait in the corridor. Overall, the hotel is well managed and the prices are fair. We will be back.

Good afternoon dear Hotbath and thank for the time spent to illustrate of our location.
The last review (december 2013) has nomitaed Riva del Garda "the best place to live" in Italy. This make all of us very proud of the product and the destination.
I totally agree with you, although it is very difficult to combine the historical heritage of the building together with the new concept and design, the architect has been able to produce the wow effect.
I am very grateful for reporting the greatness of our CXI SPA, it represents a real and tangible value added in terms of facility. All of our Customer loves to relax in this full equipped area (Warm bath, Steam bath, Mediterranean bath, Finnish sauna, Salt room, relaxation room, indoor and outdoor pool, Whirlpool, 5 emotional showers and ice fall) and be delighted by the treatments we propose.
Having said that, I will not miss the opportunity to pay attention on the time to deliver in the room what the Guest has ordered.
I thank you you once again for having been with us and I look forward to welcoming you again at the Lido Palace.

Second time we visited this hotel in the beginning of the New Year - January 2013 and 2014 - and second time satisfied very much. Service in the hotel and restaurants is wonderful, the staff - very professional , all the facilities and location - the best! And of course, the magic of Riva del Garda... This is something special!

Room Tip: For families with children I recommend 206-207 with connecting door

Thank you very much Mrs EvnevichN for the time spent to let us have your feedback. It is has been a pleasure for us to have you at the Lido Palace once again and the most important thing is to realize that we have been able to deliver our services as you expected. That means that the food quality of Re della Busa restaurant and staff attitude has been kept at a very high level.
I look forward to welcome again at the Lido Palace and in the gleaming Riva del Garda.

This is just a fabulous hotel. The location is superb. The hotel design is a wonderful conversion of an old villa into a really modern hotel - very stylish - from the restaurant to the rooms. We had two interconnecting rooms as we were travelling with two young children and it was perfect. The children were welcomed everywhere from the restaurant to the spa. The best point about all however was the service. Veremente perfetto. We will go back and back to this great place.

Good morning LGBower,
it is very pleasing to read your feed-back. It means that all our efforts have been compliant with our Guest expectations in general and with yours particularly.
In addition to the design aspect and to the room facilities that you have reported, please let me take this opportunity to underline the resounding success achieved by the CXI (hundredeleven) SPA with its regenerating treatments and the restaurant Re della Busa by now leader in the area in terms of food quality.
Thank you once again for your time and looking forward to welcoming you again at the Lido Palace, I remain with best regards

Well after a disappointing visit last year, I'm more than pleased to say both with the old staff that were here back then & an influx of new staff, the magic is once again back for my stay here. The restaurant/breakfast staff could not be more attentive & the food is 5* plus.

Room Tip: Top Floor Penthouse Luxury Room 403 was good for A&MG's stay.

Dear Mr Agpower,

it is very gratifying to hear that the effort spent in terms of behavior and competencies, at the end, have generated an attentive and positive feedback from our Customer. Your comment represents additional "fuel" to make even better....and we will!
Let me take this opportunity also to thank you for having underlined the food quality and the service of our Re della Busa restaurant. By now Re della Busa is, without doubt, the reference point for the culinary art in the area.
Looking forward to welcoming you again at the Lido Palace

The property is quite nice and the service is first rate. But the rooms themselves are more style than substance and more interested in design than in comfort. The bathrooms, for instance are modern and sleek but but do not have even one inch of space to place toiletries. And, the electronic panel by the bed has 9 buttons which were, for me, never figured out. The floors are cold, the showers entirely open and the murals painted around every door in the hallway make it all look cheesy, not appealing or artistic; like a theme park. Even the lovely breakfast area and the high quality of service don't make up for the overall lack of ambiance, the minimal comfort of the rooms and the tackiness of the hallways. That's the opinion of the 2 of us who stayed there in separate rooms.

Dear Mr Joedenver,

thank you for your comment that highlights the first rate of service and the quality of breakfast. In reality, the level of appreciation of food of Re della Busa restaurant for dinner and Tremani bistrot for lunch is very high and collect the acceptance of hotel Guest and Guests from Riva del Garda. As far as the ambiance and style are concerned, it can happen that at very first impression, Customer may be very surprised. I can assure you that in short-run everything become friendly and comfortable.
I hope to have the chance in future to demonstrate this effect.

Thank you once again for having been with us and best regards

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
In a spectacular location on the northern edge of picturesque Lake Garda, Lido Palace is a stunning Belle Époque building, set within 19th-century gardens filled with fragrant cypress, cedar and magnolia trees. Recently renovated, the Liberty Style palace impresses with contemporary interior design which epitomizes chic modernity. The rooms - almost a symbiosis of light, nature and elegant interior design - are modern, wide and bright spaces taking advantage of the contrast between the minimal style of the interiors and the romantic view on Lake Garda. The 1,500sq m spa offers a collection of globetrotting treatments, including a Finnish sauna, Mediterranean bath, Indian massages and Native American stone treatments. Its guests are invited to enjoy the serenity in an elegant setting tasting savory meals by Chef Giuseppe Sestito. Tremani is the hotel's more laid-back lunchtime eatery offering healthy imaginative meals. For intimate evening meals, Il Re della Busa is decadent and distinguished, with exquisitely rendered morsels of haute cuisine in sleek designer surroundings and backlit views of the grounds. The restaurant overlooks the gardens, which are a mix of manicured lawns and forested foothills, grab a seat by the window to gaze upon them as you eat. If it's a balmy night, get a table on the balcony deck. Fine-dining chefs are usually fiercely protective of their recipes, but chef Giuseppe Sestito will happily share some of the secrets to his creations. ... more   less
