This was my fourth stay at interski. It is a family run hotel, like most of the hotels in the val Gardena. The situation is perfect, a couple of minutes walk from the town and an easy walk to the chairlifts and gondolas. I've only ever visited in summer, which is magical. Like many of the visitors we go back year after year. Hotel rooms are nice, decorated in traditional tyrolean style. I could have done with a few more hooks and wardrobe space, but otherwise well equipped. Balconies have views to die for, a bit annoying that my neighbours chose to smoke on theirs. Rooms were very clean and I thought it sweet that the maid made up my sons cot every day and changed sheets frequently. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool with fabulous views of the mountains.
Food is wonderful. I would comment that dinner is quite structured. You chose what you want in the morning and then dinner starts promptly at 7. There is a buffet (delicious) followed by creative amuse-bouche. This is then followed by your chosen starter, main and then either the menu pudding or a selection of pastries from the buffet. It's quite a lot of food, albeit delicious! Lucas, the manager is well-informed when it comes to choosing a wine. Because dinner is at a set time the dining room tends to be quite sociable as guests get to know one another.
I would recommend this hotel and a trip to Santa Cristina
