As we were staying in the Sant’Agnello district of Sorrento, we went twice to this terrific restaurant, dedicated to the memory of Totò (an Italian comedian, actor, poet, writer, singer, songwriter who stands as a colossus in Italian culture). The walls are filled with pictures and memorabilia of Totò and Tonino, our host, showed a suitably humorous and welcoming approach. The food was great, the ambience terrific and the menu varied and good value for money. I strongly recommend this restaurant.
The Restaurant "Hi Totò" first saw the day on 29th April 2009 in Sorrento when 3 old friends, after many years spent abroad, returned to their country of origin to open a new and avant-garde restaurant. The name “Hi Totò” stems from their devotion to their beloved Antonio De Curtis (called “Totò”), a legendary Neapolitan actor who made cinema history. Everywhere inside the restaurant you can see photos and many other memorabilia of this great man. (See webpage: http://www.ciaototo.it/index.html )
