Reviewed 30 July 2014

Lovely holiday in a great resort.
The hotel is well-priced, probably because it's a little out of the way.About 15 min walk from nearest shops.
The service is good, the staff are friendly and obliging.
The room was ok. maybe the bed and pillow a little hard for my taste, but some would prefer that.
The main weakness is the pool area, which is too small for the number of guests and children playing around. Also, the decking needs to be tarted up a bit.

Breakfast food was fine.
The wifi coverage was disappointing.I couldn't get a good enough signal round the pool to listen to internet radio stations, which was a crank. The wifi also doesn't work in the rooms.

Make sure you get there early for the last bus transfer back from Sorrento. They say it's 11pm, but when we got it it left at 10.45pm, which I'm told was common. It'd be infuriating to then have to get a cab, which is 25 euros for a 5 min journey! the hotel need to have a word with the driver.

We had a hire car, which is worth t as it's easy to park at the hotel, and taxis are very costly whereever you go.

Overall I'd recommend for the price you pay as good value.

Stayed Mid July as part of a tour, Central Holidays
Sadly, the dinner served at this so called 5 star hotel was the worst meal
I’ve ever had in 40+ years travelling in Italy, I know your company had
Nothing to do with this service, but I think you should be aware of how we
Were treated as a tour group.
The dining room is very nice and the tables were set to believe a great meal
Was going to be offered, First the two bottles of wine (red/white) placed on
Each table were terrible and cheap and not drinkable, I asked the head waiter
To remove them , I went back to my room and brought wine that I had bought
Earlier on the tour to the table to drink. It only got worse.
The first dish,Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage, must have been
Cooked the day before, the pasta was mush and the broccoli had been cooked
Tasteless , the one tiny scrap of sausage was like rubber !
The next dish was Eggplant Parm, which was burned and horrible could not
Be eaten, several people thought it had been left in the oven all day ! It was
Served with BOILED Cabbage with no flavor at all, farm animals would have
Trouble eating it.
The dessert was a stale tort of some kind and the coffee was disgusting .
After this we took a taxi to town and ate at a local restaurant that took pride
In the Italian food they served. We never ate at the hotel again.
A beautiful hotel , they should be ashamed to have treated guests like this .
This was 5 star hotel in looks only.

Just back from a week here,. We knew the culture of where we were going and went for the culture, the food and the different way of life. The hotel was spotless, the rooms comfortable, traditionally Italian, after all you are in Italy, and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. Are there some 'Mediterranean moments' ? Yes, there are but nothing is perfect and there was nothing to raise your blood pressure to dangerous levels over, all told a lovely setting, we would go back and recommend to friends. Violla particularly was so nice to us on our late arrival and continued to try so hard to make sure we were happy. Agree a pool view balcony room is lovely rather than a bigger room with no balcony.

My wife and I have just returned from La Pace 15/7/14 and the whole Hotel is perfect, the staff treat you like Royalty, if you want constant WiFi or a Hotel to work in then book a Holiday Inn not a beautiful tranquil hotel like La Pace, the only bad part about this hotel are the under informed under educated rude Americans, The hotel and all the staff are perfect, I will visit again and again and again, FANTASTIC.
The food is fine dinning quality exceptional choice with A1 service

Room Tip: Book a room overlooking the pool

We stayed at the Grand La |Pace for a week commencing 30.06.14. From the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more attentive and friendly. nothing was too much trouble and everything was undertaken with a smile - brilliant.
Our room was on the poolside, with a terrace and was perfect for two people.
All of the staff from Mr Giovani to Camillo were outstanding in their delivery of a first class service. The first morning we entered the restaurant for breakfast we were offered a cappuccino coffee and an all you can eat buffet breakfast - first class!
If there was one small niggle it was the time of the last bus back to the hotel (11pm). You are on holiday and midnight is more appropriate.
Stay here and you will have the time of your life - we did.

Room Tip: Rooms on the pool side of the hotel are best.
