“Great small family run hotel.”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

Me and my family stayed here for a week and found it was a great little hotel to either chill out by the pool or use it as a base to visit Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. The Londra is about a 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of Sorrento and 5 mins from Marinella beach which has an incredible sea view of the Bay of Naples

The hotel is small and family run and the rooms are clean and simple. The only negative point about the room was that the shower was a bit small.

We just booked Bed and Breakfast but had one evening meal at the hotel. The food was lovely, with plenty of choices on offer and the portion sizes were very generous, and we were always offered more. The bar area was nice to sit in at night and the barman always came over to ask what we would like.

Lovely small pool which was great to dip to cool down after a day sightseeing.

The town of Sorrento is lovely and it's full of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. We loved Sorrento and would go back as it's a great base to see the rest of the Amalfi coast and Pompeii is not far as well.

Overall, a very pleasant stay, would definitely recommend Hotel Londra.

Me and a friend were put into a single room where they added a fold out single bed. The beds were practically touching. There was no room for our luggage. The room could be described as a closet in size. Bathroom was even smaller. You could not move in the shower it was so small. I literally had to stand still and let the water drip on me, no room for soap or washing. Mattresses were ancient and springs were clearly way past usability. Location was a good 20 min walk from town. Only redeeming factor was the pool. I would not recommend staying here.

We stayed at this place as part of a tour. We shared a common door with the room adjacent which seems to fall in their bathroom, hence we heard every toilet movement. On top of being loud Italians, the people staying there watched TV at 12am and no respect of other's silence, despite knocking on their door and a call from reception.

In addition, with the balcony doors closed and shutters down, we could hear every cars, bikes and trucks passing by in the street. The place has the worst acoustic I have ever experienced.

Internet costs €1 per 24hrs and it's quite reliable. Breakfast was average, nothing special. There is a pool which is nice. But
But, I'll definitely not book this place again.

Hotel Londra is about 20 mins walk from Sorrento, 5 mins from an incredible sea view of the Bay of Naples. The staff could not be more helpful, it was like staying with family. Lovely small pool -always sunbeds available after a day sightseeing and often had the pool to ourselves. Hotel is clean and breakfast fresh ...including local oranges. Handy for visiting Amalfi coast, Vesuvius and Pompei. Would definitely go back. Some traffic noise at night but it is on a main road so that was expected.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking pool are away from road.

Located 10min walk from Marinella beach, longer to town centre (15/20 mins) but we didn't mind the walk. Basic room , but clean and tidy, friendly staff, pool small but fine for a dip, worth extra for aircon and wifi. Good hotel to use as a base for seeing the Amalfi coast.

Hotel was very clean, room was a nice size, small TV, which had bbc world. breakfast was nice, the coffee is the main breakfast let down (vending machine style)
We often walked up to the main street in sant'Agnello & found Bar Tourist which done a very nice cappuccino & breakfast pastries.
Nice view from the roof terrace which is large & has chairs & tables. Pool is clean & plenty of sunbeds
Staff are a credit to the hotel.

Bar man has some frozen beer glasses perfect on a hot day.
No Hot water one afternoon went to reception, was fixed in minutes.
We stayed B & B. Sorrento which is a steady 15minutes walk away has a huge choice of restaurants, we eat somewhere different each night.

Noise - Sorrento is manic with traffic which would affect most hotels, if this is a major worry there are some hotels up in the Sorrento hills that have free shuttle busses into town.
