This hotel has an excellent service. The staff is day and night ready to fulfill your needs and answer questions. The hotel is modern and very clean. Every day there are delicious fresh meals. There is a bar with a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. It is located in a nice area with bars, restaurants, shops and a beautiful view of the coastline.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Hotel Club, I have never stayed in a hotel where ALL the staff were so friendly and accommodating to make you feel welcome which was appreciated, from the welcome drink on arrival to the wave off when we were leaving. Location great, food good, breakfast catered for all tastes, evening meal fish, meat, and veggie dishes. Rooms were modern and clean with air conditioning, would certainly return to Hotel Club if I was staying in this area of Italy again. Thank you to ALL the staff for making our holiday memorable.

we booked this hotel knowing it was a small family run hotel and i would normally say you only get what you pay for but in this case you did not even get that!! the rooms were small and basic( although we payed for a larger room and did not get one) but at least it was clean. The pool area was poor with very little room for a dozen guests although the hotel was very busy. But leaving that aside and accepting that the food was so disappointing. breakfast was ok run of the mill but the evening meal was awful. the starters was edible but the main course was terrible and the choices limited and nothing on the plate then a poor excuse of a cake for desert or some fruit on occassion .I am in no way greedy but the portions were tiny. Gueasts was all talking about it to each other but because the staff were so good and friendly no one seemed to want to upset them.my over all opinion of the holiday was poor and i was so disappointed after reading some good reviews prior to booking.

We has just returned after spending 7 nights at this hotel.
I will list its good and bad points then the bad.

Good points.

For the price paid......... probably the best value hotel in St Agnello
The staff are outstanding. Funny, friendly, helpful and informative.
Rooms are of a good size, clean with good air con.
Beds are firm, as are the pillows, but clean.
Very close to the railway line from Naples to Sorrento but this does not present a noise problem, nor does the lovely near bye church which chimes on the hour and quarter hour. At night simply close your double glazed patio doors turn on the air con and you will hear nothing. Very peaceful.
Small well laid out hotel, with lift to all floors. Easy to find ones way round to pool, bar, reception and dining room.
Plenty of shops and bar/cafes near bye.
The hotel does not 'sting' you on prices for drinks food etc.
Good location for train station, bus and to walk into Sorrento. But see my tip re walking into Sorrento below.

Not so good points.

The pool is small and not suitable for children. Also there is a significant amount of black mould on some of the grouting on the pools tiles. Though the rest of the pool did appear to be clean.
The food....... Breakfast was a self service buffet affair, adequate but nothing outstanding. The evening meal was the only one constant area where most people in the hotel found fault. The food is often lukewarm, small portions with a repetitive and boring salad. Also the evening meal sweet, as is the breakfast food is left out and uncovered for some time before guests dine.
This is the only area that I had concern. Everything else was of a very high standard considering price paid.

Room Tip: The main road in to Sorrento, the Corso Italia is a noisy and sometimes dangerous road, The footpath is often only one person wide and the traffic is heavy and constant. Though the most direct route into Sorrento approx 20 minutes, a far nicer and much prettier route is to turn left from the hotels front door and continue straight down this quite and residential lane without deviation until you arrive at a beautiful viewing area for Sorrento and the Bay of Naples from here you simply follow the road in to Sorrento. Quiet, safe, pretty and approx 30 minutes.

In August 2013, I traveled alone to Sorrento, Italy to explore the area and travel the Almafi Coast. I found Hotel Club Sorrento online and with the great value and proximity to the Sorrento town center, it seemed like a no-brainer.

I arrived to find a very friendly staff and a clean hotel. They were very polite and welcoming, even teaching me some Italian and suggesting some restaurants and sights which were off the tourist trail.

For traveling alone, the room was small, but exactly what I needed. Those traveling alone and looking to explore, won't spend much time in their rooms, so minimal space with only the necessities is just what you need. If you wanted more space, larger rooms are available.

When I first arrived, I realized the only downside was the distance to the town center. It was a longer walk than I realized. But after spending a few days, being so far away was actually better. The walk every morning and evening allowed me to see daily life of those who live there, not just the touristy town center. The little cafes catering to locals, and the church where weddings were hosted every day gave me a flavor of what living in Sorrento was like.

Each evening I returned, I was greeted with a smile and served lemoncello at the little bar in the lounge. I was definitely sad to leave, but I plan to travel back some day. Odds are I'll stay at this same great place.
