We felt very welcomed at the family run hotel, all the staff were warm and friendly from the very beginning and Luigi would always do his best to make us feel at home. It was lovely to arrive for breakfast every morning to a smiling "bon giorno!" where Luigi's brother Marco would remember what coffee we liked. There were lots of homemade tarts and cakes and a variety of sweet and savoury foods. The rooms were clean and the pool was never over-crowded.
Our room was spacious with a view from the balcony of Mount Vesuvius on a clear day, where you could sit at the table or in the reclining chair.
Hotel Club Sorrento is well located in Sant Agnello, a small town near Sorrento. There's a train station 4 minutes walk away that connects Sorrento to Pompeii so it's well located centrally with a few beaches nearby. We even found a sandy beach to the north, a rarity along the Amalfi Coast - make sure you ask a local to find the secret elevator!
At the end of our stay I lost my credit card, so one member of staff told me to get in his car and drove me all around town to all the places I had been to try and find it even though it was nearly midnight. Our young daughters loved dining at the hotel so that they could hear Franco sing 'O Sole Mio' between serving the dishes!
