“Very hard to Fault anything .. AMAZING views !!!”
Reviewed 13 July 2013

We stayed for 4 nights and really did not want to leave and considered extending the stay, however they were fully booked out.

If i had to be SUPER picky to point out a fault it would be the noise that cam from the restaurant that was located above the room (we were on the 1st level) and the restaurant is on level 2.

The rooms are very clean, modern and the views of the ocean are amazing.

If you are after a very good restaurant that is very cheap, walk out of the main entry to the hotel and you will see it directly across the road from the hotel (only one)

Danielli from the reception desk was simply amazing.. we had to change the train ticket we had and he personally went to the train station that was located near his house to make the change for us and paid for the change with his own money (that we paid back) ... by far the best service i have experienced in all my years of travelling. THANKYOU so much !!!

Hotel does not have a pool, however manager said they are putting on in over the comming winter break.

Internet is free :)

Room Tip: maybe stay away from the level 1 rooms due to the noise.

I stayed with my brother for only two days but it was such a great comfort, I wished i can stay more. The room, the view & the staff members were great. They are always ready to answer your queries and offer suggestions. The wedding were in season, it added a charm to the nights.

Room Tip: higher rooms are better for taking panorama photos.

My boyfriend and I had stayed at Hotel Corallo for 8 nights in mid June and definitely had it up there as our favourite place to stay in Italy. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the views are incredible and the staff (including cleaners) really go out of their way to make your stay the best it could possibly be. We had one issue with our air conditioner not working on the first night and it was fixed the very next morning with a bottle of champagne for us to enjoy as a compensation. We could not complain about anything at all. Our room was very clean all the time and we felt the bed to be comfortable. We loved the weddings and keeping the window open a little just to enjoy the music. Just a perfect holiday. Thank you so much Hotel Corallo! We will be back one day! Love Australia xx

We stayed here two nights. We booked the hotel the day of at the front desk. The staff were very helpful. We had the best room there. We had a wonderful balcony with a view of Sorrento and the cliff side (Rm #667). The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was great! Really fresh food and friendly service.

It is about a 20 to 25 minute walk to Sorrento, where you can find good restaurants. I really don't recommend the restaurant at the hotel. We went one night while they had a wedding going on. I read other reviews of the hotel after our stay recommending not to eat when there is a wedding going on. I would definitely agree. We ordered the veal which had small shards of bone throughout the whole meat. We complained to the waiter who took away our plates to talk to the chef and then never returned. We had tot ask what happened to him. I complained to the front desk who gave us half off for dinner since we were leaving hungry. Also, there is no good lighting at nighttime when you are on the terrace for dinner. And you cant make reservations to sit out there during sunset.

So all in all, great hotel, great service, just don't do to dinner there. Go for a walk and I highly recommend Caruso's in Sorrento!

Room Tip: Room 667 is the best room. Beautiful balcony with 280 degree view! You wont regret it.

We are staying at Hotel Corallo right now. First of all I want to say that the staff are very friendly and serviceminded!

But, that is the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel.

Last night there was a wedding right outside our balcony. The +100 wedding guests were running up and down the stairway the whole night. Some of them did knock on our door, children were screaming, music was playing. When you are on the stairway you are less than 1 meter outside our room and you can see right into it. Tonight there is a new wedding!! :( I am so glad we are leaving tomorrow morning.

The beds are so hard. It is almost impossible to get a good night sleep.
The wifi does not work in our hotel room.
The walls are so thin that you can hear the guests next door.

I payed approx 500 Euro for two nights. I didnt expect luxury but I did expect way better than this.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room on floor 5 or 6

Hotel Corallo is situated in Santagnello, about a 15-20 min walk from Sorrento. This hotel is situated on a cliff overlooking the beautiful blue waters. The staff gave us an extremely warm welcome and sered us drinks. We loved the ambience and service at the hotel. The only thing is that they host a lot of weddings. My husband and I enjoyed the ambience and music of the weddings so we don't have any complaints. All in all it's a great place to chill out and do nothing at all however, if you are adventurous there are enough options for that as well.

We stayed at the Corallo for 7 nights in June/July 2013. Our welcome was very professional and the staff spoke very good English, we were welcomed with a free lemon drink, our bags were taken to our room and we were left to relax on the terrace.
We were then shown to our room by the manager, who again was very pleasant.
Our room was spotless as was the bathroom. We had a small balcony with a couple of chairs over looking the sea, a great little sun trap.
The room had recently been decorated and was very comfortable. It was fitted with air conditioning (this only works when the balcony doors are closed) as we had visited at a warm time of year this was welcome during the night.
The walls are quite thin, we heard tables and chairs being moved along the tiled floors, in other rooms and also the restaurant below.
The bed was slightly hard and a little uncomfortable. Fortunately we had been very busy during the day, so we were very tired and didn't notice the bed too much.
Please check my other reviews of things that we did during our stay.
Breakfast was very European, don't go expecting fry-ups! But they were very tasty and had a wide variety, I had heard one guest ask for eggs, the waiter had replied that they would do whatever she wished, so they are very accommodating. If you like your coffee, don't just ask for a "coffee" it's weak and not going to do much! Ask for an expresso/double expresso with hot water and milk - much stronger and tastier!
It is sad to see other reviewers say negative things about the waiters, they did all they could to accommodate us and were very polite and friendly. If you are they same to them they soon remember your room number and don't have to ask at every meal/ordered drink.
We stayed under a half board basis, this meant that meal choices in the evening were limited, other guests had a much wider choice. Saying that, the food was good and the waiters are all too happy to explain what they all mean. The quantity is wonderful and we never left our table still hungry. Every night we sat on the terrace watching the sunset as we ate, if you get there early enough you can get a front table overlooking the sea with un-interupted views.
We would particularly like to thank Giuseppe, the barman (whose name we did not know) and all the other waiter staff, they were all so friendly and we will miss them.
I would agree with the other reviewers in regards to the weddings, there were 5 out of the 7 nights we were there. They are not a problem and are in a different part of the site so apart from some music and occasional cheering they were not a problem. The food did not suffer while the weddings were taking place. They were generally over by 10pm so not a problem for sleeping.
The main issue was that the large terrace that the wedding breakfasts took place were not accessible for hotel guests, this was a shame as it looked a beautiful spot.
During 2 nights of our stay we were woken at 00:30 to fireworks. We are not sure if these were arranged by the wedding parties or a surrounding hotel/party. But they were very loud and woke us up with a start. The Corallo itself arranged fireworks for one night but this was well advertised and was earlier in the evening.
Some travel sites will state that the hotel is in Sorrento, it's in Sant'Angello which is a 30 min walk away (at a steady pace). To walk to Sorrento, walk out of the hotel, turn right and keep following the road as close to the sea as possible. This will take you to the centre of Sorrento. You can also take the train (takes less then 2 mins) turn left out of the hotel, then right, then left again and follow this road round to a little square you will see the railway bridge and turn right, go under the 2nd arch and the station is on the left, you can get trains to Pompeii, Ercolano, and Naples.
You can also take a bus, remember you need to by bus and train tickets from a tobacconist (marked with a T outside)
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Corallo and were very impressed of the location for visiting all the things we wanted to do. We would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a sea view room, there is no point in staying here if you don't!
