What can I say that everyone else hasn't already? This place is wonderful.

It started with the booking process. Travelling with my mother and aunt, I had specific requirements and used the Internet to choose a place in the Sorrento area based on those requirements. Right after my booking, I received an e-mail from RVS where they sought to clarify my requirements, just to make sure that they could meet them. I thought that this was amazing customer service: it really put me at ease about how things would turn out when we showed up.

The facilities are as wonderful as everyone says. The breakfast is magnificent, with lots of home-cooked and -baked food. An inexpensive pizzeria in the Sant'Agnello main square that we enjoyed in the evenings was recommended by staff; it's called "da Peppino".

The real gem is Ms Angela Savarese. What a wonderful person she is! I do not want to embarrass her by telling her how much we admired her, but suffice it to say that RVS is a labour of love and devotion to her family and particularly her elderly father and mother. By staying at RVS, you will not only have a wonderful and comfortable experience but you will also be contributing to the story of a wonderful life. I know this is an irrelevant criterion for some travellers but I mention it for those who like to know that their tourism does make a difference. (By the way, she did not "advertise" her situation -- we drew it out of her. She is a very discreet person.)

A idyllic gem in a beautiful location. I never thought that I could find somewhere so relaxing in the middle of August, but this proved me wrong. The staff can't do enough for you. It really beats all those impersonal chain hotels hands down.

So lovely, you almost want to keep it to yourself.

If heaven exists you will find it in villa Savarese! This is the perfect place to find peace and tranquility for those who really want to enjoy a quiet holiday far from the frenzy of tourists. There are only 8 rooms very spacious and the priority of the owners is clearly to make your stay as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Even by the pool you won't hear a noise and even through the hottest days of summer, you won't feel the heat under the citrus trees that surround the pool.
Breakfast is really good and served in a beautiful room.
You will benefit from the calm and quiet of villa savarese while staying 3 min away (by train) from Sorrento from where you can visit all Amalfi coast.

We booked our summer holiday in Sorrento based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. The private feel to this place is brilliant, and we felt at home instantly. Angela Savarese and her team went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, and we can't praise them enough. The lovely garden and secluded pool area, in combination with the silent location of the Villa, really makes this a Place to consider. But the real gem, is the amazing staff and family, which just has to be experienced first hand in order to really appreciate it. We stayed for 12 days (!) which is rare for B&B's. We would absolutely love to go back.

If you want to avoid the impersonal nature of a large hotel but maintain the air of luxury, this is for you. If you'd rather have wall-to-wall entertainment, a spa, a gym etc., this is not for you.

This beautiful, small hotel is like staying in an Italian stately home. It is incredibly peaceful and tranquil. Staff are exceptionally courteous and helpful. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, as are the grounds and the large pool. The hotel only has 10 rooms in total so if you really want peace and quiet to wind down with a book or sunbathe by the pool, you won't have to queue for a sunbed.

The 20 minute walk into Sorrento is a leisurely one and a small price to pay for the peaceful solitude which Relais Savarese offers.

Small touches like an excellent breakfast, free wi-fi, iced water by the pool etc. are also worth mentioning.

Highly recommended for couples, a group of friends or a lone traveller.

An oasis of calm and sophistication.

Room Tip: We had the attic junior suite which came with its own rooftop private sun terrace with views over th...

What can I say that's not been said already...this place is a gem! Villa Savarese is tucked away behind a large wrought iron gate in a quiet little neighbourhood but is within easy walking distance of Sorrento town. Both the villa and the garden are so pretty and it really is a haven of peace and tranquility. We stayed in a Superior room which was lovely and spacious with double aspect and a small balcony. Angela and her staff (especially Rubel!!) work really hard to ensure you have everything you need and nothing is too much trouble. The villa is the perfect place to base yourself as Sorrento/Positano/Capri are all easily accessible but when you're not sightseeing, you can just lay and relax under the orange/lemon/palm trees by the pool! We will treasure the memories of our holiday in Italy and hope to go back some day!! Ashlie (Jones) & Patricia from Surrey, UK.
