“A charming and pleasant bed and breakfast.”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 via mobile

This bed and breakfast was absolutely charming and lovely. Located in a safe neighborhood and within walking distance to fine restaurants. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. The owner and her niece are accommodating and very friendly. A wonderful place to stay!

We had a four night wonderful stay here. Angela- who tells me she does not read TA reviews !- is a brilliant host, so good at helping you plan your trips/visits. The hotel , which is more like a guest house, is so beautiful and elegant- just 10 rooms, set in a walled garden of lemon trees. The pool is a lovely size with plenty of space and seats for relaxing.
We had room 6, at the back with a dual aspect/windows, one onto a small balcony and planting( no real view and so not overlooked) and the other looking over a seated roof terrace off the main stair landing, again not overlooked. The room was spacious with TV,mini bar etc and a lovely massive hard double bed. The bathroom was very light with marble floor and walls, with a bath and very vigorous jacuzzi, and an in bath shower with lots of jets etc. It also had a bidet and wall mounted hair drier.
The room seemed dark at first and lacking views but actually it was nice to come back to a cool darker room after a hot day out and it also meant it was a quiet room and we slept so well.
Breakfasts are 8-10am with a great buffet, including a cooked egg dish e.g a tortilla and a cooked veg dish.
We loved the hotel and would happily return. Yes it is 20-25 min walk to Sorrento main square, and the local bus is hopeless, but ...
We visited
- Herculanuem, very easy by train( station 5-10 mins away). Worth buying the audio guide as no real info signs once you are in
- Poistano, there by bus and back by boat. We should have gone earlier in the day. I had naivlely assumed boats ran there and back all the tme/every hour.
- Capri- again check boat times, as there were not as many as I thought.
Got to and from the hotel by the airport bus. We caught the 8.30 bus back in Sorrento as we feared it might be too full when it got to Sant Agnello, but actually itwas only 1/2 full

Angela is the best host I have ever had. She's attentive, helpful, caring and takes the utmost pride in her villa and her work. The villa is beautiful and so well maintained - the decor is inviting and the furnishings are very high quality.

The pool area is idyllic and so peaceful. We spent many an afternoon reading under the lemon trees between our regular cooling off dips in the pool.

Breakfast is very high quality and there are many homemade baked goods to tempt you.

Location was great - about a 15 minute walk out of Sorrento. We turned right out of the villa and them first left to get to Sorrento and followed this road. It seems quicker than the main road.

I would return back here, which I don't say often about a place. Completely recommended, without reservation.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 8 nights and we had a great time. The rooms are beautifully decorated, as is the rest of the hotel and Angela, the manager, is very friendly and helpfull. The garden and the pool are like a dream. We came back home totally relaxed and felt like we had been away for weeks, not days (which is a good thing because we needed a break...). Breakfast buffet is very good and much bigger then you would initially expect from a smaller hotel. Would definitly book this hotel again!

Villa Savarese is a beautiful villa about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento and we loved our stay. Our host, Angela, was so charming, friendly and kind. She went out of her way to make our stay special by recommending restaurants, booking a boat trip for us and even arranging a discount at a car park for us in Positano. Villa Savarese is her family home and she has created a beautiful sanctuary for guests wanting to be away from the noise and bustle of Sorrento.

Angela kindly upgraded us to a deluxe room as it was our honeymoon. The room was large, tastefully decorated and very comfortable.

The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented.

The garden and pool area is gorgeous.

Highly recommended.

Visited in May 2013, the hotel is a quiet oasis in a busy resort. We had a garden room which suited our needs perfectly. As others have already commented Angela and her staff excel in looking after you whatever your requirements. The hotel has a wonderful family feeling to it and you are treated as one of the family except you do not do any of the work. Perfectly situated for peace and quiet but within easy wakling distance to railway and bus stations and Sorrento Town Centre itself. A Perfect Stay. Thank you so much.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are spacious, private and surrounded by orange trees.

My wife & I booked 6 nights at the Villa as part of an Amalfi coast tour and were thrilled with our choice. On arrival the entrance gates opened to reveal the beautiful villa and its grounds. Our room was perfect, with views overlooking the pool and gardens, really spacious, but cosy. Angela made us feel so welcome right from the start; and was always there to help with anything we needed – from restaurant choice to mosquito spray! The villa is full of her family’s history, with many interesting artefacts and mementos of past travels and interests.
The grandness of the villa is complemented by its huge charm and homely feel. Breakfast was a delight with many ‘home made’ treats and a chance to chat about the day’s plans. Relaxing around the pool, within the lush grounds was just perfect.
Villa Savarese is located in a quiet, mainly residential area, and a great alternative to the bustle of Sorrento; perfect to enjoy the pleasure of being treated as a family visitor not just a hotel guest.
The local station is a short walk and good for trips to Herculaneum & Pompei and Sorrento offers boat trips along the coast, to Capri etc.
We ate at many restaurants in Sant’Agnello and Sorrento. All very good, the best of these was fantastic Terrazza Marziale; a glorious setting, flawless service, and the food, like the space, was superb.
