My friend and I just returned from 4 nights at this wonderful gem of a hotel. Everything the prior reviewers have noted is spot on - from the location, setting, staff, lobby bar, roof terrace...I could go on. Francesco and Agnello both so helpful. Providing a "take out" breakfast for our 4:30am departure was unexpected and much appreciated. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I've just returned from my second visit to this hotel. The hotel is great, not too big and has fantastic views across the bay of Naples. The biggest advantage are the staff who are really friendly, knowledge and create a really relaxed atmosphere - it is like one big happy family. I love the fact that the staff feature on the website - something other grander hotels could learn from. The rooms are really clean, well-sized and have really comfortable beds. I do agree with another review - they do need more plug sockets particularly given how many things need to be charged these days. Drinks prices for a hotel in this area are really reasonable - particularly during the daily hour and a half price reduction. Great for when you've finished sunbathing, site seeing or a drink before dinner. The quality of the food at dinner is really good particularly compared to other hotels in this area. Do expect some noise as the hotel is situated near a fairly busy road - better to ask for a room not on the first floor!

Room Tip: Rooms not on first floor and away from corso Crawford are quieter

We stayed at Hotel Mediterrano as part of our honeymoon. The hotel itself is lovely; rooms clean, well-sized (not too many sockets but there you go!) bathroom very nice; bed huge and comfy! The pool side is really nice, the pool clean and lovely to swim in; the beach is a typical Sorrento beach, - we didn't bother paying any extra for the private beach and just dove off the rocks - lovely. The restaurant rooftop terrace is AMAZING! Such fantastic views, what a lovely romantic place to eat.
The staff - wonderful, particularly Danielle, who runs the bar with style; we went to 'Happy Hour' nearly every day and were treated to snacks and half-price drinks and were able to socialize with the staff and other guests - a nice touch to personalise your holiday and create a community. Danielle is an expert at taking your photo on the terrace as the sun sets over the bay.
Downside - the location is fantastic in terms of views - but it's a 20 min walk into Sorrento - level, but on a noisy and busy road where sometimes the pedestrian path disappears. Plus side is a nice stop halfway with fabulous views! The hotel runs a shuttle - well advised to book and use it.

Everything was fine and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was confortable and clean and quiet with the most magnificent view on the Gulf of Naple and the Vesuvio. Our room was on the third floor with a balcony. It was very pleasant each morning to get up with this view for the first sight of the day. Breakfasts were excellent with a variety of food and the breakfast room itself is very well located on the fifth floor overlooking the gulf and the volcano. The restaurant on the fifth floor is very fine as well, with very good dishes. There is a pool and a pool bar and a terrasse where it is fun to relax at the end of the afternoon and at the end of the day. Even if the hotel is not situated in the heart of Sorrento, actually it is located in Sant'Agnello area just a little distance from Sorrento, the hotel has a very good service of a town shuttel (navette). Finally, you should not hesitate to book there.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view on the gulf. Romms on the other sides of the hotel are overlooking the poo...

We had 11 nights at the Mediterraneo and we loved every minute. Firstly the position means you see some of the best views and you are out of the hussle of sorrento yet a lovely 20min walk away. Pool area is amazing and a real sun trap
The staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. All in all we had a great time and one of our best holidays and so much was done to this lovely hotel.

Fine outlook over the bay to Naples, the volcano, and Capri. Appalling weather curtailed our use of the attractive pool and garden facilities. Cool and immaculate indoors, efficient, friendly house and bar staff. Usual computer, etc. facilities. Views from the restaurant outstanding, food first class, wine prices reasonable, service excellent. Room comfortable, well equipped, but tight for space. Cleaning and service faultless.
Regular free transport into Sorrento. Good bus and rail links round the bay. Capri a disappointing tourist trap. Pompeii and Naples in easy reach. The coast road traffic is dire. If you're driving yourself, you'll need a lot of patience and strong nerves.
As experienced travellers, we've no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: Check sizes of rooms available on higher floors. Front views over the Bay of Naples and the road; re...

Our Sorrento vacation hotel was actually in Saint Agnello which is adjacent to Sorrento but up on a high cliff. We choose this hotel because it’s high on the cliff overlooking the bay and looks down the whole Sorrento coast and can see Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The hotel is beautiful! We loved our view, especially from the roof top dining room. Breakfast from there was a wonderful experience. Daytime and nighttime at the pool seemed as much like Hawaii as Italy. Great pool and not many hotels have a pool. Bella Bella! The hotels service was wonderful. The main Desk had our favorite person, Agnello. Yes, he has the same name as the town.
In front of the hotel, right on the cliff’s edge was the La Terazza restaurant. We were there much time because of the great treats, drinks, and killer view. The Moonlight restaurant around the corner was another favorite place we liked. Miss you all.

Room Tip: Corner or balcony rooms are great.
